Markspark92
Could we be seeing his return ? now would be an ideal time with all these injuries not going to be our saviour but we need bodies, provided the cross for St Mirren goal today
opinions4u
I thought he'd gone for the season.
Markspark92
I thought he'd gone for the season. Yes but would imagine we could recall at any time
underdog
If we can't get anyone else in then drag him back, mills and Brown are the only players that can swing crosses in. Poleon got himself into some useful positions today but crossing..no way However, having a target man to aim for would help for all three too if they are whipping them in. I miss bloody wingers and overlapping backs, it's been frustrating me all season this lack of wingers..grrrr
Flemboy
No point with no big striker to put them away.
BP1960
No point with no big striker to put them away. Why didn't they throw Kusunga up front to at least ruffle the Preston defenders, the other options used were weak and toothless? Flemboy
We are far too lightweight up front and today I could not see us scoring even if their keeper Johnson had gone to sleep.Thought it was bad enough last week when I went to Orient. I am in two minds now about going to Vale with these gutless performances.
underdog
Question if we are down to the bare bones with injuries etc....why haven't we recalled Dayton? Or can't we recall him as part of the loan deal. Surely we need some legs now

eyres_28
He was given so few chances and then thrown in alongside other 'cold' players against Preston (JPT) before being ridiculed in the press by that little weasel. Class in pre-season, scores a stunner against Swindon and was a major part in the thrashing of Coventry but the first to be left out - didn't get a run all season. We're crying out for some natural width, especially given brown and Wilson are our only 'crossers'. I can only guess that he can't be recalled. Shame. ShireBlue
I'd have him back, especially with the current state of the squad, his pace and width would give us something different, plus Wilkinson needs some better service from the flanks. underdog
That's my thoughts too, I've not liked we haven't been playing with wingers and overlapping backs. Maybe I'm old school but we were famed for it, I love to see defenders being run at down the flanks and blue shirt whipping then in near the by line. Yesterday Connor was running down the flanks and Forte too. We looked better then all this tippy tappy crap trying to work the ball into the top of the box. I love mills pegging it down the wing and I like it when Dayton does it too, okay he's a bit lightweight but he can get that ball in. Even Poleon looked good down the wing at the Preston game...okay delivery wasn't so good, but it gave me a bit of hope that something was going to happen. Bring back wingers deano
Stevie_J
Dayton didn't want to be at Latics before; he'd like it even less now his mate's gone to Barnsley.
Stainrod
It always makes me smile how players reputations with fans improves when they are not in the team!

Break The Silence
At the moment even his worst critics would welcome him back with open arms. I wouldn't. I said he was crap before he left and i'm of exactly the same opinion now. Recalling him would make no difference what-so-ever.
