Twisbrogan
very underrated, but didn't Joe once describe him as deceptively slow? Remember him being a target for the boo boys. Didn't chase or go for lost causes which made him an easy target. Only really joined in when the ball was in the box. The type of player that would still be dividing opinion today. LaticsPete
very underrated, but didn't Joe once describe him as deceptively slow? and wasn't he the one who punctured John Platt's lung or some other internal organ when playing for Luton? I thought that was Paul Moulden ....the deceptively slow bit that is!
Dave_Og
Sometimes there were hard men among the opposition, as Alan Groves often found out; Inetersting that he managed to position his head on what approximates to a pillow. I suspect he was just having a lie down before getting up and beating the full back again
LeylandLatic
Wish players would react like Pointon did there. Amazing that the commentators said it was definitely worth a yellow - how times have changed! The game's become a bit of a joke on that front.
