Laticstilidie
Maybe relegation and a spell in league 2 is what we need. How many relegation battles do we need before someone realises things need to change? No disrespect but Dean Holden isn't the man for the job! Hopefully Dean is a front for philiskirk

Laticstilidie
we're going down and it is absolutely NOT Dean Holdens' fault It's not his fault you're right. Maybe he's an easy scapegoat in it all? We were lucky when we got LJ as a "Cheap Option". Now we need someone who can turn the tide otherwise we will be lucky to be a league club going forward

BP1960
Reality is Dean has been dropped on and wish him well in a difficult challenge. A good end to season would be five games to go and mathematically safe and can give young lads a proper pressure free run and fans can relax a bit. Top six is a dream even in this :censored: division. He's looking a Johnson clone continuing the same negative tip tap football with defenders backing off and poor in the air. I had hoped he would get rid of the previous managers shackles and be more positive, but depleted squad or not the fear factor seems to have got through to the players. There was some signs to change things in the second half and surely he wont play one up front against a Crewe team fair game for conceding goals themselves? opinions4u
To get defenders to put a real tackle in. Every time. If he achieves that, we stay up. Some of the wishy washy half hearted foot waving we've seen since the previous manager left has been disgraceful.
byrnes boots
To get two wins but we're from that's another issue
Hometownclub
I think relegation is a very realistic possibilty, (if 30/1 is available then I would be very interested). Difficult to see where any points would come from at the moment, and I don't think our current points total will keep us up.
IceStationLatic
Lose against Crewe and the panic will really set in. Rochdale are good away, too.... And can you imagine us at Bradford on that pitch, the keeper rolling it out to Dieng...etc And our defenders trying to bully Stead at a set-piece... Lockwood put Stead in his pocket less than 12 months ago, no reason to think the same cannot happen a week Saturday.
leeslover
I think I remember Timmy doing ok against Stead, or am I making that up?

I hope thats the sort of motivation the manager will be giving rather than the statement that we need protect our back four.
Blue_Guru
With all due respect and I know his heart is in the right place but Holden is pretty clueless... He felt putting brown in midfield on Saturday was the answer to keeping goals out? :censored: it why not put an outfield team of 10 defenders on the pitch...guaranteed clean sheet then ey??? Oh no wait... Edited March 18, 2015 by Blue_Guru
BP1960
The managers statement we started needing to protect the back four, but were better when we went two up front after conceding 2 goals makes me wonder..Why didn't he start with two up front?
