The whole season was something of a lowlight in itself, as detailed in all of the posts above.

Starting the season with fans unable to buy kit for months thanks to the deal with Mike Ashley's crew and, when it did arrive, it being without question the poorest quality I've ever seen any professional sports team in.

The Evans saga, seriously calling into question the support of an awful lot of fans, and the board being not the least bit interested. Letting it drag on for :censored:ing weeks, whilst telling the media what a professional outfit we are, and Neil Joy trying to get away with playing paperboy with the official statement.

The club having the cheek to talk about having consulted fans over Evans when they took not the slightest bit of notice of what a very large proportion thought.

Barry being bumped up to full blown director, after stepping down from the Trust.

Barry threatening legal action against OWTB.

Barry bringing up the Ched thing long after the dust had settled.

Johnson walking when we were still in with a shout of the playoffs.

The reaction to Johnson walking when we were still in with a shout of the playoffs.

The interim appointment of Dean Holden, essentially demonstrating the Board had conceded any playoff challenge with a third of the season still to go.

Finishing below Barnsley.

Appointing Darren Kelly.

For a while it looked like it might actually turn into a decent campaign, ending in a proper playoff challenge and generally a positive vibe about the club. But that was derailed by bloody awful decision making. It ended with a chink of positive feeling over the new stand, only for that to quickly be extinguished by the non-descript managerial appointment.

Written like that, the distinct lack of a connection between the club and the fans is painfully evident.

Agree with all those, and it's noticeable how many are off the field.

For me, one of the worst was finding out that we had no share, in effect, on the board. That the Trust finances on the board had been so appallingly handled. For a second time following the conviction.

I think the Darren Kelly appointment was the final straw, if it had been handled differently, and all the crap had not gone on it could have been perceived as a positive, but after all that had gone on before the the over hype of the applications it can only go one way. Lets hope all fears are unfounded. He'll have the shortest honeymoon period on record if it goes wrong.

Count your blessings you didn't get to debate it with his son in law for 3 hours after the Awards Night.

Actually, close the thread. I win.
