Clean sheets

Recommended Posts

We have now gone 12 games without a clean sheet, all 7 of Dunns games have seen us concede its 12 in 7 to be precise.

Where is the weakness at the back then? There is talk of another defender coming in, would this be for Burn who even at League 1 level seems to struggle for pace particularly at the end of games?

Is Cornell our best keeper? He has let in 17 in 9 this season, he seems a fair shot stopper but his distribution is poor and his communication lets him down at times.

Still plenty to work on but to get a win at the moment we are going to have to score more than one a game which doesn't happen too often.

Well it's happened in three consecutive games now which might not be statistically significant but is certainly a change

Couldn't you have waited until tomorrow?

We've won one!

Nice to see Dunns first clean sheet yesterday, Cornell had his best game for us by far, didn't put a foot wrong a couple of decent saves and was also more confident and commanding in and around the box.

Thought B Wilson had a cracking game he read the game very well and although you'd think he was too short for a centrehalf was more than comfortable alongside J Wilson and had a good game.

I thought Kelly though was class just in front of the back four offering them protection and snuffing out most of what Rochdale could throw at us, not many teams manage to stop Dale playing on their own patch and we did a pretty good job of that.

I'd have been interested to see a full game with Calvin Andrew up top for them. That probably would've caused the Wilson's huge problems.

Can't knock them though, did pretty well. No idea how Brian :censored:ed up that chance though. Helped that Kelly was excellent, as was Dummigan.
