Pretty average first 45 min.  We are neat and tidy but cant help but feel we are playing like an away side.  1 up top and only pressing the ball when they come into our half.  Definate change in tactics from the free flowing attacking football we have been used to recently.

Our front players keep the ball well but we keep going backwards.  When we do turn and run at them we look dangerous, Menig just needs his shooting boots.  Topes not in the game, Holloway, trying his best.  Gardner playing Byrnes role to an extent, only he is working both ways and putting a shift in, think hes plsying well.  Fane his usual self, tracking and tackling, if he ever developes a shot!!.

B.Rovers have come for a point or to nick something from a set play, have offerd nothing.  They score first, think it would be difficult to turn around.

We need a goal (obvious), they come out we hit them with pace.

Our ball retention has been ok even without the Byrne magnet!

Queensy having his best game.

Fane is a Dalek.

Nepo v good

Gardener dropping too deep

First touch needs to be better to keep the ball tight.

Which is why Byrne is very effective. He takes lots of quick little half yard touches which prevent most one on ones being a contest and helps create the acres of space he seems to have

It’s becoming clear, and understandable, that Wellens lack of experience is being exposed here. Lots of changes and odd decisions in the last 5-6 games and I’m really not sure what Jewell and the others have added as we seem to be all over the place

hopefully Byrne will produce something in the next 30 mins, no way he should have been dropped.

Is it too much of a coincidence that our downturn of form has come with the arrival of our assistant manager !
Don't listen to him Richie.

I actually think that this is the case.  Northampton aside, are tactics, formations and tempo have been questionable.
