  1. Of course Dunn was instrumental in breaking up that partnership. It's just symptomatic of our stuttery season - unable to get any rhythm, consistency, flow or understanding. I think we would benefit from a decisive manager picking and sticking to a team or formation. All of the chopping and changing has just led to unhappy, unsettled players. Take your point about the timing of Higdon unable to play against Sheff Utd and the subsequent Swindon victory. But since then, we only played Poleon & Higdon as a pairing twice (won 2, lost 1, both players scoring twice each) Dunn fiddled around with 1 upfront, Poleon on the wing, Fuller/Higdon partnership, Poleon on his own upfront. I know we're near the bottom but how many players can say they feel like a needed and valuable part of the team this season;
  2. I can't believe David Dunce compared the Poleon/Higdon strike partnership to Shearer/Sutton. However, it was showing signs of promise and then he dumped it in favour of trying to accomodate Fuller and tighten up midfield. I also remember a club comment declaring that we had the best midfield in League One. And Dunce said this beauty, about having the best two goalkeepers in League One. Why on earth are we not top of the league!! "Dunn is delighted to have a pair of exceptional keepers at his disposal as he gears up for a tough October schedule. The Athletic boss added: “We’ve probably got the best two goalkeepers in the division.” (From the Chron in October)
  3. What's the score with Fuller - has he not been officially binned off yet? Burn - not been mentioned for weeks The lad from Celtic? They can't all still be on the books.
  4. BT Sport will show it for certain. A channel like them with such weak viewing figures ain't gonna miss the opportunity to make a mark in the rankings.
  5. It'll be on the goggle box as well so there's another £100,000 or so into somebody else's coffers
  6. Thanks, hopefully he'll come back strong in the new year. Is the lad from Celtic still due back when fit or was that one cancelled?
  7. Is this lad still with us? His form wasn't great before his red card but I'm surprised he hasn't even made the bench, especially when J.Wilson was injured
  8. Darren Kelly said we have the best midfield in the division. David Dunn said we've got the two best goalkeepers in the division. We just need to get the best defence & attack and then we'll be champions!
  9. I'm actually encouraged by reading this that things are usually better. Today was my first visit for a few seasons and I was gobsmacked at the performance. It's a relief to hear that this is as bad as it gets and not the norm.
  10. He was a good player at United. Moved to Burnley for games and played in Prem. Was always a leader in his yoof days. Combatitive, energetic and committed. Should improve our right back position if fit.
  11. The Dom Telford / Stoke link makes sense as Dunn is pals with Mark Bowen from his Birmingham days. Bowen is a coach at Stoke these days so would expect some player requests.
  12. I was convinced it had gone in but was disallowed for some reason. Didn't even consider that he could miss the target from that position. When I watched the match back and saw what had happened I was gobsmacked.
  13. So the signing had little to do with DK. Can we still question his ability to source & seal a deal?
  14. No I won't be working for them. It isn't really work anyway.
  15. Channel M was amazing and you guys all loved The Great Manchester Football Show. Your lives have never been the same since.
  16. Corney did say he was blown away during the interview process. Perhaps Kelly revealed he was strapped with explosives?
  17. Maybe the reason comes back to Chedgate? It's not beyond the realms of possibility that LJ or his family were targeted by the threats of the opposers. Perhaps that was enough for him/his family to agree it was best to find a new challenge for safety's sake.
  18. And the best and potentially crucial goal scoring signing was mismanaged and released
  19. Brian said: We got Craig a box of chocolates for his troubles. We were taking them and the letters to the club when we happened to see him in Tescos. Good old Tescos
  20. @ScottBurns75: @aidanmcd97 Iain Vigurs has broken down in training again and so the swap deal for him with James Dayton to Oldham is now off.
