    All quiet on the Rooney front. Anyone know if he's still been around the club, training etc, since Sat? The tweets about Rangers appeared to come from knowledgable insiders so with all this silence on the subject it isn't filling me with hope.

    I remember the music from that night. They played Keep on Moving by Five in the stadium after the match. Not something I would normally like but makes me smile now everytime I hear it. Then got home to watch the match again on Sky and they used Lucky Man by Verve for the closer with slow mo shots of Stitch celebrating. Good times.

    Looking at how that line up is listed, Mellor will be playing full back. He played centre back v Dynamo. Perhaps not a shoe in for centre mid?

    It's often thought in football that if a ref suspects he's made an error he'll even it up with a later decision. He must've known by the half time reaction that it was a mistake so turning down the Simmo push in the 2nd half is even more frustrating. Wish we had him in the Everton game that Connor Brown handball would've been ignored.

    With Macc relegated and Latics safe I reckon it'd be best for Matt Smith to be recalled & given a start v Carlisle in place of Bunn or Simpson. Build for next season. Would a recall be allowed? Also - are there any L2 strikers you think we could attract here within our budget? How about Billy Kee at Burton?

    And the original article, which seems to have been changed, said that the new signings were subject to the parent clubs contributing towards wages. It got altered at some point yesterday afternoon so something has gone on.
