    We may well have been one of the cheaper ways to buy in to a Football League club but I'm just not having it that relegation is the plan. Are we so mired in the bad decisions of the past 20 years that we believe this to be a genuine possibility?!

    If he wanted a League 2 club, he would have bought one, wouldn't he? Why pick up a failing League 1 club to achieve that?

    OK, so Wellens has hit that sticky patch that most, if not all, new managers do at some point. He's been found wanting at the plan B stage when key players (Doyle mostly) have been missing. I very much doubt that a relegation is on Abdallah's wish list so it's time to back the manager with some good, solid players that enable him to settle back into his plan A football that, I think we can all agree, was both good to watch and successful.

    We were shit but relatively tight defensively under Shez but much more open and attacking under Wellens. That's fine when you're scoring plenty of goals but not so good when your strikers are playing like a bunch of Jaffa's. Could Placide have done better with some of those 26 goals? Yes, but I'm not concerned about keeping him in the starting eleven as he was such a big part of our initial renaissance.
