  1. The 'heritage' tram (the old clattery one) only comes out at special occasions like during the Illuminations. You will be riding the sleek modern tram. Get a day ticket.
  2. You are probably right, but since I'm going to Oldham tomorrow anyway, it's no big deal. My guess is though that only a few hundreds will go on general sale - remember we have two home ties before 15th. Some of my relatives in Blackpool are getting theirs in the home end.
  3. Getting mine on Thursday. Living in Blackpool, I usually get away tickets at the next home tie or by phone, but don't want to chance it waiting till Saturday, esp as I want seats.
  4. Yes, Ben is doing fine in education and still writes a column in Blackpool Gazette (the bit you can't read online).
  5. Cywka hasn't played for over two months for Blackpool so expect him to be rusty and barely match-fit. He is reunited with Keith Hill since they were together at Barnsley for two seasons.
  6. I suppose they advertise it in the run-up to Christmas as a suitable gift? But season tickets (which we never sell out) are always available at pro-rata price.
  7. If you get there early, around 1 pm, you can park on Edenfield Road and its side streets for free. I suggest you don't park on Sandy Lane leading up to Spotland or in the council estate off it, as vandalism is rife.
  8. Yes, several years ago I bought a partial season ticket half-way through the season for a family member. The ticket office just worked out the cost of remaining home games and charged me, first by dividing the full price by 23 to get per match price. So if there are 14 games remaining and full price in Main Stand Upper and Chaddy End is £350, you pay 350 / 23 x 14 = £213.
  9. In the past, you could always get season ticket after the season has started by paying pro rata for the remaining home games. Worth asking the ticket office about it.
  10. We don't normally get a full match report in ST, but perhaps because of Ched Evans affair, we got one and their reporter made Daniel MoM and described him as 'impressive'. I thought he wasn't as good as previous games, except for the accurate pass to Forte for the goal. You can't read it online free as ST is behind paid barrier.
  11. Remembering Prenton Park used to be one of the biggest away ties for many years, and the games with plastic Scousers were always competitive, their demise after last season's relegation surprises me. Any particular reasons, such as money problem, change of ownership, or they just hit a bad patch and will pull away from the trap door?
  12. Now no English or indeed British club will touch him with a bargepole. The only chance of rebuilding his career is going abroad, though his early release licence prevents him from travelling abroad for a year.
  13. Try phoning the ticket office. You may be able to buy over the phone and they can keep it at the reception (open till 5) for collection.

  15. £20 to watch second round against Doncaster. A bit steep?
  16. If you aren't wearing colours, you can sneak into nearby pubs for home fans only.
  17. No, not normally. It's all ticket for away fans, so you must get it in advance. They've requested further 500 tickets from the Blades so there should be plenty left.
  18. According MEN, from Monday, Westhulme Avenue has been closed to traffic as they begin building a new hospital car park on the old Westhulme Park site. So if you park there or use it to access BP, you need to find alternatives. www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/work-starts-royal-oldhams-new-8095208#rlabs=1
  19. No non-league at home hosting a league team, that's why. As there are no new teams entering the competition and many non-leaguers have been eliminated in the first round, this is what often happens.
  20. See twitter.com/Blyth_Spartans Buzzing with excitement!
  21. WSM - Donny tie is being played on 18th Nov, and replay if needed is already scheduled for the following Tue, so our home tie in 2nd round can still take place on 6th December.
  22. Interesting, ours is the only game in L1 on Saturday to kick off early. Do Oldham and Crawley have more England fans than other towns, or is it a miscalculation by the respective clubs?
  23. They have been poor away but solid at home so should be a good game.
  24. Capacity at Highbury Stadium is only 5311 so they can't give us more.
