  1. They may be season ticket holder who have reserved by phone and are just picking up in exchange for the voucher?
  2. Seems legit. It's on a row of private detached/semi-detached houses off Lower Breck Road. The owner has about 30 reviews from 2011, all positive. Remember no private parking will give you insurance against damage or theft - you always park at your own risk.
  3. Setting off from Greater Manchester around 4 and hope to be near Anfield by 6, going via M61, M6 and M58 to avoid M62 roadworks. As for parking, the situation seems to be to avoid street parking - most surrounding areas are resident parking only or one-hour limit, and there's always a chance of vandalism and theft. There are several schools and other private parking from around £7, but you are likely to get stuck leaving after the match, esp anywhere near the stadium. What I've done is to book a space in someone's drive around 15 min from stadium for £10 from http://www.parkatmyhouse.com/uk
  4. Unless the both sides decide to tear up the contract and the player leaves on free. This sometimes happens when another club want him and protracted negotiation over pay-off can only delay it, or when the other club takes over the remaining pay.
  5. He is just not getting the rub of the green, like his thunderous header against the bar or poor first touch off Gerrard's gem of a pass tonight. Just needs a game to kick start his season, and what better chance than against lowly...?
  6. Meireles signed for Chelsea at the end of August, and has been their first choice player since. Even without him, still a very strong midfield with pace (Shelvey) and strength (Kuyt), so a tough game awaits.
  7. Still plenty of hospitality packages on sale on liverpoolfc.tv site. From £65 including food, free tea and coffee, pay bar, match ticket, programme etc. http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/tickets/latest-ticket-news It says home supporters only, and no away colours are allowed, but if you behave discreetly, I don't think there will be a problem. If we are getting stuffed 5-0, we will be keeping quiet anyway!
  8. According to official Liverpool site, the general sale to home fans seems to be going quite well. Central sections of the Kop are sold out, as are some parts of the Main and Centenary stands. Other sections are restricted availability (e.g. single seats only) and only those near the wings have general availability. Anfield Rd Upper (above where we sit) isn't being sold, whether this means the stand will be left empty or is already pre-assigned I don't know. I'd be disappointed with below 30k crowd, but happy with 35k. http://www.liverpoolfc.talent-sport.co.uk/PagesPublic/ProductBrowse/standAndAreaSelection.aspx?stadium=AS&product=11FH3H&campaign=&type=H
  9. On Christmas Eve, open 9 - 12. http://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/page/NewsUpdate/0,,10337~2555483,00.html
  10. I hear Cheltenham Town have sold all their 5000+ allocation away to Spurs in FAC without going to general sale. OK they were only £20 and Sat PM kick-off. Season ticket holders and members were allowed two each, and one each to voucher holder from last league game vs Southend. I still fear there won't be too many tickets available for general sale - maybe 1000?
  11. Club may still be sorting out ticketing arrangement and want to announce together.
  12. The rules say nothing about away goals in area finals, so they don't count double. If after playing 90 min in second half and the aggregate score is still level, it goes to penalties. Extra time only comes into play at the Wemley final. http://www.football-league.co.uk/regulations/20110629/johnstones-paint-trophy-rules_2293633_2383581
  13. We have been drawn away first at Chesterfield on Tuesday 17th January. Return leg, televised live on Sky, on either Tuesday 7th or Wednesday 8th February at BP.
  14. Just phoned ticket office and they are selling today.
  15. That depends on the policy of the host club. Big premier league teams like Arsenal usually insist pre-payment to protect their bottom line (they can usually sell out the ground for normal league games) so can't afford to give out, say, 7000 tickets to away club and 3000 returned days before the tie, when It's too late to sell to their own fans and re-arrange segregation.
  16. If he signs for us in January transfer window (but Hudds will demand a fee) or gets another loan spell with us. As he has already played for us in the earlier rounds, there is no question of him being cup-tied.
  17. But for cup ties, where situation can change during the loan spell in a way unforeseen before the loan was agreed, I'm sure the parent club can withold permission when they think fit. For league games, there is usually a clause specifying if he can play against the parent club or not. We have in the past given permission for our player on loan to play against us.
  18. The parent club can always say which game the loan player can play in and which he can't. Even though Simpson did play in the first round (so therefore cup-tied should he go elsewhere this season; Hudds are already out of the cup), Hudds can still stipulate he doesn't play in the second round, or JPT or whatever. But it doesn't make sense because he is already cup-tied for both competitions. They can still say Nathan Clarke doesn't play in FA Cup, as he won't then be cup-tied and makes him a more attractive target should they try to sell him in January.
  19. All the different packages on offer at Hospitality Best to phone (number on webpage above) but Jenny Warburton
  20. No, if you try to access the official site, it defaults to the mobile site which doesn't give access to Latics Player. If you are using an Androit phone, there is a workround to force non-mobile website to load. Explained in For iPhone, go to the official site and scroll all the way down to the bottom and click desktop version. This will load non-mobile site with Player. You may have to install Adobe Flash Player compatible plug-in, as Flash Player won't run on iPhone.
  21. Of course the flip side of the coin is that if we don't play them regularly in the First Team, whether they are better than the ones we have, then they will soon be recalled and loaned out to somewhere else.
  22. Presumably they trained on Sunday because of the Monday game, so they must have been given a day off in lieu.
  23. Originally Edgware Road was called the Edgware Road as the main route to the township of Edgware, then a village outside London. But it gradually took on the meaning of 'not any Edgware Road, but THE famous Edgware Road in the West End of London.' So it's a prententious way of calling a street. You can say the Oxford Road in Manchester, as it's a well-known thoroughfare, but not the Oxford Road in Dukinfield, as it's just a local street and little known outside its neighbourhood.
