    Yes, on Thursday, but when it was lifted on Saturday morning, the pitch in the shade was frozen solid. They do say that frost cover only protects to -3 and it was apparently colder than that overnight at BP.

    Why can't we have a bank of heaters or hot air blowers directed at the affected area from midnight? Will cost money but surely less than postponement? What about 'hot balloon' that's supposed to keep the pitch frost-free?

    Very young and inexperienced. Compared to last season, lost older McLoughlin in the close season and two good players in January window and replacements have been disappointing. They lack a vocal leader on the pitch and their heads go down easily after a conceded goal.

    New Meadow adjoins a large shopping centre with car park, but like all such places they don't allow matchday parking. But at the far end of the car park, there is a separate area set aside for Park and Ride, where you can park free and walk to the ground in around 15 min - just follow the crowd.

    Gillingham has the reputation of being the worst among the Medway Towns. Rochester at the top (with cathedral, castle and Dickens connection) followed by Chatham (Naval port) and then Gills populated by people who work in the first two but can't afford to live there.
