    All are good signings and if a good creative midflelder can be brought in fans should be delighted, this is looking like a side Joe bulit in the 90s, a mix of promising youngsters and experience.

    That's not likely to happen as O'Grady likes to forage wide, he's more similar to Grant Holt than Chris Porter.

    That may work as O'Grady likes to forage wide, similar to Grant Holt in that respect. He is not a penalty area striker like Hughes, this may enable Davies (or Allesandra) to play a free role alongside both of them, most defences in this division would find it hard to cope with such a combination of forward power, movement and finishing.

    I would really like Latics to sign Chris Eagles, but I think that's a flight of fancy.

    Correct: Porter scored 18 goals from 71 appearances for Bury. O Grady 13 from 51 at Rotherham, so not much to chose from them there. However, O' Grady is much more powerful and quicker than Porter, and from what I have seen of him he will create lots of chances for others.

    He is young with plenty of scope for development, he's similar in style to Liam Dickinson of Stockport and I think many would like to see that type of player at Latics.

    I wouldn't be pessimistic, O'Grady is quick and mobile for a big man, and although not a prolific goalscorer he will create plenty of chances for others. Chris O'Grady

    Where were the Latics scouts when he was playing for Woodley Sports a couple of years ago ? His potential was there for all to see and the asking price was around £2,000.

    Fleming has signed a 2 year deal and Lee for 3 years. This is building for the future and far better IMO than short term loanees like in the past.
