  1. ‘a couple of others? Obviously the pre-match drinks went down well
  2. That’s all they need ‘cos there’s no traffic innit?
  3. Agree but the general point I made still stands; namely that after one game it’s far too early to judge. This was no more than a run out that was designed to ease players back into match play. At times it resembled a bunch of lads having a kick about down the local park. Your comments did not address any of the trialists and merely criticised three of the squad. I was just surprised that so many piled in to have a pop...but then again this is OWTB so maybe it should be expected.
  4. 🖐 I have supported Latics for 54 years now and have had a season ticket for the last 21 years. The club is in my DNA and in a way is partly what defines me. I have stuck by the club through the good times (there have been a few) and the bad times (there have been many). For me it goes way beyond football. However, I believe that we are at a pivotal point in our existence - The Lemsagan brothers have to show that their ‘plan’ for the club has substance and if we do not progress this season, then even the diehards like me will join the growing number of dissenting voices.
  5. *could have 1,266 in attendance too You’re welcome.
  6. I thought there was a general consensus that pre season friendlies (especially the first one) are meaningless? Far too early to draw any conclusions.
  7. ‘I bet they don’t bang on about it...’ What, you mean like your first post above?

  14. One speculates about the future captain and ends the post with ‘God help us’. One also ignores his previous post stating ‘ Maouche and his mates vs the homegrown boys’ The other passes an opinion that the training session showed a squad having fun, demonstrating a togetherness and team spirit and working hard. An opinion nothing more.
  15. So to quote your own words: ‘Let’s wait until they’ve played some competitive fixtures before we judge that eh?’ Seems to me that you haven’t followed your own advice there ...
  16. Here we go again... I have watched the daily videos from Morocco and they show a togetherness, team spirit and a group of footballers working hard and having fun. but no... let’s slip a comment like ‘Maouche and his mates vs the home grown boys’ ..
