  1. The bold bits. Let's not make a mountain out of a mole hill. It's a very funny chant that is sung all over the country. I was born in 1974 so was 11 when the fire happened. I remember watching it unfold on Grandstand (:censored: me, i'm old) and being absolutely horrified, even as a kid. I would hazard a guess that almost all those singing it weren't even born in 1985 so meant absolutely nothing by it. Even for some of our fans, it'd take a special breed of :censored:wit to take the piss about something so serious. They simply didn't know. PS. Massive win today. I'm so happy I think i've dribbled a bit.
  2. Wilson and Lockwood have been very steady of late but i'd have Tarky back in a heart beat. Anyone who says otherwise is either blind or kidding themselves.
  3. I was too far away from the Philliskirk incident to pass comment but the challenge on Wes was never a penalty in a million years.
  4. Perhaps it's got something to do with the fabulous example that the Manager sets .
  5. His brother Rhodri was a bell end of the highest order. Relatively talented footballer but an utter dick. They may have looked alike but they couldn't have been any more different personality wise. I'm not suggesting Ryan was right to bang her though, obviously.
  6. Unless they're utterly stupid that is. So I fully understand why he asked us lot on here.
  7. Can't say I ever met him BP, presumably another one who didn't quite make the grade. I'm sure he's one of many who nearly made it. Just to clarify, in case anyone was in any doubt about my ability, I was :censored:e. I just ran about a lot and kicked everything that moved. I couldn't have hit a barn door with a banjo...
  8. Especially the bit where they clocked we played him at full back 'cos he wasn't good enough for a place in our midfield ha ha. Brilliant...
  9. Bloody hell BP, I feel old watching that ha ha. I also played with and against the Salford substitute, the number 12 Roger Kumar, the big black lad who ballooned that sitter over the bar at the end. He was a very good player, equally as good at cricket, surprised he never made it in the professional game.
  10. Ah, good old fashioned fraud ha ha. You should've just said...
  11. He was nothing special Lancy Lad, just some scrawny welsh lad with scraggy hair that I used to keep in my back pocket in my days as a flying right back.
  12. I'm 40 in June and grew up / still live in Salford. I went to Wentworth High School in Eccles where I played both with and against Ben Thornley (ex-Man Utd, Huddersfield, Blackpool). He was pretty good but wouldn't have been much to shout about if you took away his lightning pace. At 14 my family moved house so I then went to Moorside High School in Swinton where I played both with and against Ryan Giggs, although he went by the name of Wilson back then. He was, quite literally, :censored:ing UNTOUCHABLE...
  13. Miserable sod. PS. Edited to remove openly racist anti Welsh slur.
  14. You and me both pal. I won't stop supporting my team if they get relegated. It doesn't work like that. I've answered yes, yes and yes.
  15. Tarky sent off for Brentford at Orient. Second yellow. One of his famous ":censored: me i've over ran it" lunges by all accounts.
  16. Apologies if it's already been mentioned elsewhere but i've just been looking at today's League 1 fixtures. I hadn't realised until now that 8 out of the bottom 9 teams are playing each other today. There's only Shrewsbury who aren't playing a relegation rival and they've got top-of-the-league Wolves away. The likelihood is they'll come away with nothing, although you never know. Carlisle v Stevenage Crawley v Colchester Crewe v Latics Tranmere v Notts County I'm the biggest Happy Clapper there is but we could be in a whole world of :censored: by 5pm. On the plus side, they can't all win .
  17. At least none of them have been in League 2. Every cloud eh.
  18. You typed all that at work? Stone the crows. You got any jobs going?
  19. You have far too much spare time on your hands ha ha. It's a pretty fair reflection though, overall.
  20. I started going in '89 and have had a season ticket virtually ever since. I'm going to lock myself in a dark room now and cry myself to sleep.
  21. Agree with every word Dan, especially the bit i've highlighted. Your wedding is still one of the best shin digs i've ever been to ha ha. I also miss the Lookers Paddock desperately. And the friends I made in there. Was only talking to Nick and Paul the other day, they haven't changed a bit. And I miss MY seat, row A, seat 103. Like you say though, :censored: happens and we move on. The Chaddy End is falling to pieces. The facilities are crap. Stick the visitors in it.
  22. I don't care how cheap he is. As I said earlier in this thread, he doesn't look up to it any more, and is certainly no better than what we already have. It's a definite no from me, regardless of cost.
