  1. i get my pie in before kick off when they're at their freshest!
  2. whitts and smalley on the wing, brooke and the heff up front.
  3. I think the club would be reasonably happy with that. I know it isnt a massive crowd but it was a much better atmosphere, decent performance, result... Even if only to lift the gloom around the club it was a positive exercise. Improved product on the pitch will get those people coming back for more.
  4. It was nice to come away from BP feeling positive, it has been too long a wait!
  5. Corney isn't perfect but I think his heart is still with the Latics. Nowt wrong with a bit of piss taking though I must admit
  6. I'd rather have the 11/12k stadium, but it needs to have an element of uniqueness... I don't want it to be dull and lifeless looking if I'm intending to go there every other saturday afternoon.
  7. All you have to do is look at the squad tonight and you can see that he's limited with the talent he has to work with. Ideally parker, smalley and colbeck would be on the bench at most! Once we get Tays, Pav, Holdsworth back we'll be scoring, in the mean time we need to find the goals from somewhere.
  8. If we can get everybody fit I'm sure we can get some wins under our belt. It's poor first touches from the likes of Colbeck and Smalley that let us down tonight, swap them with Taylor and Abbott and we'll have a chance of creating chances without them breaking down so easily.
  9. Flahavan is a big improvement on Brill.
  10. I've been in favour of the move since the beginning and this piece reinforces that.
  11. I was loving the fact that they played Trash by The Whip, they're local lads and a great band. The lead singer's dad supports Latics as far as I'm aware. Mouldy Old Tat can chuff off! We need to cut out the nonsense before kick off, its irritating.
  12. I really cannot see how Beckford's Right Foot / Royle Army / Corp Jones et al think they are helping the club by trying to demoralise the clubs fan base. I believe only a small percentage log on regularly, but the players and staff may well come on here to see a minority of people slagging them off, which cannot be doing much good for the club.
  13. I couldn't name one. TTA have shown dynamism, openess, commitment and have backed every manager the best they could. Long may it continue as I believe the club is in safe hands under their tenure.
  14. This story is very random but awesome. I think Oldham Athletic could become a cult favourite in the USA, keep up the good work girls!
  15. The question is worded in a biased manner. I still voted yes. BP is crumbling away as we speak, we need to move.
  16. Im glad he's sticking with his policy of buying players who are hungry for success and are on their way up. Sounds like a good signing, will have to see how he does. Furman has made the step up, no reason why this guy can't. Would have liked a centre half, but don't we have a hungarian CB who is supposed to be good?
  17. People are lining him up for abuse already and it is only a few weeks into the season. Its pathetic, give the guy some time to prove himself.
  18. I think Whittaker still has a future at the club, he is a real threat coming off the bench.
  19. We played some decent stuff today, I think they will come back eventually.
  20. I think we played well today. We dominated the midfield with :censored: and Worthington, the full backs and strikers had good games, the defence was pretty solid on the whole. Brill and Hazell will cost us points all season if we don't replace them. Robbed.
  21. As long as we show more commitment and fight than we did last season, when after november most of the players looked like they wanted to be tucked up in bed, I'll be happy.
