great result that tonight.... said it was early when someone in the chat room said it was all over... shame about trotman..take it on the chin lad!! so thats now 3 home games i'm gonna miss, mind you to come back to a super duper third round tie will be nice go easy on wellens when he comes back in december guys....

or....... there is a few quid tied into scoring goals???? personally i think when a team is 2-0 up with mins to go... it shouldn't really matter who takes the penalty! and if there is a chance for a player to get a hat trick, start tallying the goals up (hughes) or simply reward for a great game / last game /debut etc then it should be a 'team' decision... fairly irrelevant though really..just discussion at it's sunday morning/ afternoon best!!!

they have always been more interested in whats going on with our friends in red and sky blue... best bit i heard was when the guy at bolton said ...." the ref has just shown 4 mins!" to which that muttering scottish idiot who does uniteds games replied...." where has he got that from?" ... reply from bolton biased reporter........"probably from sir alex's watch!!" i heard the report at the final whistle (was summat else about bolton too, but cant really remember that!!) from the ground on GMR... the reporter down there indicated that it was hughes that they were boo'ing off!! mind you he also said that hughes and davies 'had words' (his term not mine!) when the penalty was given.... having only just got in from work, and not trawled through all the threads...is there any truth in this?????

this does the rounds every six month or so.... they simply change a few details..norton/cnn etc basically you are doing all the hard work for them by emailing all your mates and telling them of some virus thats about to bring the world to an end.... it's just some modern day chain letter!! poppy cock!!

unfortunatley i'm having to work tomorrow morning (5am) start, but that means i can just about get to the game... unfortunately it also means i cant get to the march.. one fellow latic has heard my opinion about it today (will leave it at that!) but will be there in thought and more importantly heart!! i just hope that it will make people sit up and take notice for once!!!! by the left.....quick march!!!

i said this on sat'day...... always remember a whole end of latics fans givin jon newby(cause he wouldnt sign for us?) a load of grief at bury one time... well you can imagine what happened next....good job we had some weird argentinian in the team to make amends !! look at clint hill the first time he played against the bin dippers at BP... was gettin tons of stick until he put in a bullet header (akin to a jobson special!) and shut them right up..... all part n parcel of the game... like time wasting... what goes around, comes around!!!

sorted my shift swap yesterday so i'll be there!! missing the luton and league donny games (and next rnd of cup too!) when i go on my hols though, and the h'pool and bin dippers games in the new yrs too.... NOTE: never let wife book your holidays!!! 4 (5?) is my record for a season now! i even missed hughes's (irish one!!) goal when she booked us in to get married!! gutted or what........ is the 'latics shirt around the world' photo board still running????

you musn't reside in the main stand then?? my dad does it regular when the scores are called out at half / full time.... but as the people who sit around him know that he has had a season ticket at latics, goes to all home games and the 'odd' away game..... but i will tell him that once the ground fills up with 'real' latics fans he will have to leave........... this is not a pop at you BTW it's just these fans that think that you have to bleed blue.....

so to recap............ can i buy a ticket for MY seat this week? or is it simply a free for all on the day?

as far as i'm concerned all i ask of ANY player to put on a latics shirt is 100% commitment to the cause..... all i want is a player that will still attempt a run for a ball even though they think it's a lost cause...... to jump for a header even though they believe that the opposing player will beat them to it....... to run and run, JUST in case an opposing player makes that once in a game mistake and we can capitalise on it.... i dont think that is much to ask of a player..... pedigree or not..... this has made my day!!

anyway back to the topic!! i'd have him back for the simple reason of january 1st 2008..... as in we may not have kilkenny then! (if that makes sense??)

if we remember back to a few seasons ago when we were the only unbeaten away team in the 4 divisions i used to hear the revolution giving there sports news reports out on a monday morning on my way home.... bearing in mind it was march before we got beat...... i remember one particular monday morning after we had won again, and the two manchester teams had lost and drawn (iirc!) not a dicky bird about latics...so i was straight on the blower.. " oldhams radio station, blah blah ..... oldham has it's own football team... blah blah..." 5 mins later the b/fast team announced on air that a listener had phoned in to complain about lack of coverage... answer was that they ( and i assume the radio station!) didnt control the news feed... so there was not a lot they could do about it!!! well to say that most of the b/fast programmes i have ever listened to are made up of ad-hoc drivel...i'm sure it wouldn't of been impossible to champion the towns football team as they did their own radio station..... the bbc are simply not interested ..full stop! it seems they would rather have a programme made up of utd fans ringing in to say that although they didnt go to the game, on tv it looked blah blah..... and city fans calling in to say that even though they havent been in years... they have heard from their mates at work that they may even finish higher up than blah blah........ radio broadcasting at it's best....

i was in the main stand and like others saw it head up into the lookers upper just before kick off!! didnt see it again, but from what i remember 'they' stayed well after finals to sing for a bit!! now if they indeed did have one or two in the lookers upper, and they did get a slap or two........ well it may be a case of "he who laughs last...." only trying to help and i hope you find it soon

i have tried to sit on the fence somewhat this season as far as ricketts is concerned...... no longer!!! what a lazy, has been, that man is!! he strutts onto the pitch like some sort of footballing god... complete waste of space! there you go folks... the fence can longer take my weight and has catapulted me into the 'get rid quick' club!!
