  1. I have to say, after watching that, I'm having some reservations about Bunn's selection and tactical nous. I am assuming that we have added Clarke, Miller & Surridge to the treatment room list this week. As for that team...….dear god......O'Grady with Coke behind him. O' Grady was beaten to every ball by their 2 lads at the back so why not put Benteke on to at least pull one of them out of position. Who is this Coke lad.....because I have yet to see a positive contribution from him in his 2 half games. I hope Bunn drops him altogether or at best benched. Why did we keep Nepo and Branger on the same wings for the full match......neither of whom were troubling their respective opposition full backs. Well done to Gardner and Iverson for their efforts.
  2. Ah.....so it's not the ground staff's fault we have a crap playing surface!!!
  3. Noticed how the picture stops short of his Party Seven* pack belly. (For the young 'uns.....Party Seven was one can of disgusting beer containing seven pints)
  4. Excellent news....more pies available on match day.
  5. Can you imagine fat lad trying to jump up for a cross? Most GKs bring on a towel and a bottle of water, he'd bring on a napkin and 4 pies.
  6. You know damn well, Byrne doesn't like playing wide right!!!
  7. The point made was we would have stayed up if Sheridan played Placide. I countered that with Sheridan refused to play him because Placide wasn't a player of his own choosing and because Sheridan being a stubborn sod was unlikely to waiver so to say we would have stayed up was, in my opinion, completely wrong.
  8. Nonsense in regards of the second part of your statement......Sheridan had the choice to play him but chose not to.
  9. If I'm honest, his distribution, punching and catching the crosses were his best attributes of not a big list. I'm still having nightmares about Ruddy in goal against Rotherham.
  10. At what level was he at for you to consider him to be over-rated? I think Ruddy came with a bigger reputation, being an under 23 Scottish international, and he was significantly worse. Most people on here would consider him to be better than some keepers we've had in recent years and not as good as a number of others.
  11. Vaguely rings a bell......so what was that Sh*t that OB produced?
  12. Was it Oldham Brewery who inflicted "Ayingerbrau" on the good folk of Oldham?
  13. Should we start crowdfunding to bring you back to civilisation or can you struggle on manfully with the sun, beaches, bbqs and a brewery next door?
  14. That's my nephew...….scruffy little git!!! AL's wallet next to his phone looks like he's short on Dirhams.
  15. Go on.....cleanse your soul,....name and shame?
  16. Not for me...….biggest culprits were Ian Stott & Lees Brewery. Happy when we were on the way up, quick to sell players off when things were less than rosey and not invest a small part of the money received.
  17. Good for you for having the balls to admit you were wrong......not many do.
  18. Listen BP, you aren't following message board rules!!! Are you not aware that any lower league French player that has joined this season is bound to be rubbish and a squad filler at best.
  19. But, to use your argument, I would say Wellens knew his best position was a CM already so to stick him out wide unsettled the player, the team and was counter productive. I would also hazard a guess that if it was Wellens being asked to play out wide, he would have had a proper strop...…..this is just poor man-management and team-selection.
  20. For how many years have we been saying that it's wrong to put square in round holes and been critical of managers who did so. And here we are again with the difference being blame the player and not the manager. After the first couple of matches of playing Byrne wide right, it was clear he wasn't right for that position but Wellens persisted. I'm not sure what Wellens hoped to achieve by playing him there.....he's not a tackler, he's not a winger and he's not blessed with pace so to ask him to become a team player is not going to improve those areas in his game or help the team. Would have been better and more sold playing Hamer there.
  21. I don't understand this injury situation comment! Who was injured that required Byrne to play wide right?
  22. I looked at the thread title and thought "Watney's Red Barrel".
  23. Looks like Byrne tackled the wrong player in training then!!!
