  1. Well more fool him if that’s the case! Obviously it’s all hypothetical, he may well have just given Corney a quid. I remember Corney describing AL as a friend, he’s a bit of a twat if he has pulled the fast one on him. All purely hypothetical mind. Hopefully the trust will give some answers/ clarification on Midsblue’s questions and points. (Tongue firmly in cheek).
  2. He has been ill-advised if he has shelled out £4m for essentially a name and a football league place. A nominal £1 to Corney and the promise to honour the debts seems more realistic. I thought he had accountants and lawyers etc sifting through the books and contracts before he bought the club? Hope there is more money from where that came from if true or we are well and truly screwed.
  3. We signed him as a free agent or on a free transfer. He ended up going to Plymouth in a swap deal for Adie Littlejohn. We ended up selling Littlejohn to Bury for £75k? not long after. I find it hard to believe that Starbuck actually played games at top flight level for Forest under Brian Clough.
  4. Well bully for him. In other industries (or the real world) that’s often a way of getting your foot in the door, shadowing or doing some voluntary work beforehand. Didn’t LJ say he’d spent a lot of time on the continent observing how other teams train and prepare for games. Doubt he got paid either.
  5. So we’ve got father figures to the players in Bunn and Rhodes and maybe a grandad figure for them too.
  6. He was my god briefly for a few hours the day we beat Peterborough 5-4. Joking apart thinking logically, if AL is just a chancer without a pot to piss in, why would he pay these duffers inflated wages and put them up in expensive accommodation with flash lease cars? It doesn’t stack up, unless the bloke is insane.
  7. Edijs Joksts, LJ’s player share project as centre half
  8. It’s marginally bigger than the one announcing Ryan Flynn’s release. His was a two sentence statement too.
  9. If he’s the signing that player share have contributed towards then nobody can confirm or deny if he or somebody else has actually signed until he has officially signed.
  10. I can’t see Bunn or Rhodes sticking around for long if AL does dictate to them who they must play.
  11. As I said, I stand corrected if wrong. I personally didn’t see the lad play so couldn’t form an opinion on him. But it didn’t take me long to figure out that Wilson and Ruddy were both duffers.
  12. Was it AL that sent him back though? I thought the consensus at the time was that he’d looked unimpressive in the friendlies he’d played in and was sent back because of that. I stand corrected if wrong though.
  13. If he is, he wasn’t mentioned by name. Frankie alluded to bringing somebody in.
  14. Same here, not willing to part with my hard earned to wine and dine in a facility partly financed by player sales that does not benefit the club.
  15. That question was put to him and to paraphrase him he said that he was in talks with a few people. Also mentioned something about bringing in a performance analyst to help identify each player’s individual strengths and weaknesses so they know what to work on.
  16. Is his league cup scoring record still intact? I recall Robbie Fowler coming close to beating it for Liverpool against Fulham back in the day.
  17. A good player but not somebody who holds legendary status with me personally. He retired 28yrs ago so a good portion of our fan base won’t have seen (or may not remember) him play.
  18. It can neither be confirmed nor denied until it has been officially announced.
  19. My thinking too. Would somebody who knew their days were numbered spend their bank holiday weekend or whatever it was trying to sign Baxter? Clearly there’s been a breakdown in trust between Abdallah and Richie with these recent stories in the press. Maybe Abdallah had his doubts before this, we’ll never know. What is important is trust between the chairman/owner and manager at any club.
  20. It didn’t seem to bother Barry when he was around.
  21. Signed a deal to stay at Lincoln til 2020 a couple of weeks ago.
  22. Excellent signing, hopefully RW will be able to find the best position for him in the team for him to prosper. Will never forget his free kick at Forest.
