  1. Continuing membership of the EU does not represent a continuation of the status quo as many in the Remain camp would have us believe. "If Britain votes to stay in then it is certain that this decision will herald a terrifying increase in Brussels’s interference in our lives, further attacks on our sovereignty and sense of nationhood and the remorseless progress towards an EU superstate. " MEP David Campbell Bannerman
  2. This. From the article, "They are also worried about the avalanche of regulation that could follow a vote to stay." As I have stated before a vote to Remain is not a vote for the status quo.
  3. The USA works because most/all workers can move from state to state because the common language is English. Unless your children speak German, French, Spanish or Italian the freedom of movement is limited. However, since many in Europe speak English their freedom is somewhat greater than ours and we see they move in this direction.
  4. Agree about Dieng - shame if it happened, but NATO has kept the peace. The EU seems hell-bent on confronting Putin.
  5. The 'In' camp talks of uncertainty if we leave, but what of the certainty if we stay - more unification, more Brussels control. To vote 'In' is not a vote for the status quo. The EU has not been capable of reform eg the Common Agricultural Policy and Fisheries policy. If Cameron was convinced that his negotiated reforms were a starting point for future reform he would campaign on that basis, but no all we get are scare stories.
  6. They've done it with our money. Note we are a net contributor.
  7. I can defensively always poor; better going forward.
  8. I thought this was a football forum, specifically about Latics.
  9. This. No question they should be performing better. Furthermore, Dunn has made numerous loan signings that have not improved the situation on the pitch. Why should permanent signings in the window be any better?
  10. Each time I saw him he took up good positions and made good runs, none of which were seen nor anticipated. In short he is too intellegent for us. If he comes back our management will almost certainly stick him up front as a lone striker and hoof it to him. Why do I think this - because that is the way this management team think.
  11. "Insanity: Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result." - Albert Einstein.
  12. Is Eckersley a Left Back then? I thought he was a Right Back? I thought we wanted to end Square pegs and all that.
  13. Obviously need to amend title to STRIKER. I am underwhelmed.
  14. I thought this was supposed to be the best squad for years. All the positivity about keeping it together in close season?
