  1. Anybody with a connection to Mr Vaughan who wrecked Chester is dubious.
  2. Hes borrowed it. From dubious Scouse solicitors and the like. I'll be amazed if he's ever put a penny of his own cash in. Nothing wrong with not putting his own money in. That's his choice. But to suggest he's been piling in the millions doesn't add up.
  3. I'm sure im sure I read it's only a fiver in.
  4. Didn't Johnson get an extended contract after one win in nine?
  5. Hopefully the leg room behind the goal is superior.
  6. As far as I'm aware, it's been tweeted by a single journalist with 81,000 followers. How he knows, I don't know. Seems reliable. Subject to calling the occasional transfer wrong, which happens when players and agents change their minds, he's got an OK record. im hopeful.
  7. Id expect any Doyle deal to happen at month end.
  8. Start of the thread and yes. Alrhough I think the trust Oldham web site has account number and sort code for you to set up a standing order or send a one off payment.
  9. The way this development squad thing works, I was under the impression that the number represented the age of a player.
  10. Philliskirk joined the coaching staff before the Forest game. Smith was man of the match. Won't mention the own goal. I recall an interview with Philliskirk with him saying he'd coached Smith to "get a run on the ball" when crosses come in. Two minutes into the game against Liverpool he did. Injury time against Everton he did. I don't think TP would have picked Iwelumo at Goodison if Smith had been 100% fit. I don't think it's a coincidence that Matt Smith improved markedly under the guidance of a striker like Philliskirk. Equally, Gerry Taggart (who left before the Forest game) was a training ground advocate of the looping header. Simpson at Forest and Wabara against Liverpool were, perhaps, down his influence.
  11. Josh Parker fad a long throw. It was slow, loopy and shit. But it went a long way.
  12. Damn. That means I have to stay awake and follow it on Twitter despite my boycott.
  13. His ability to fall to ground under the slightest challenge and yet never win a free kick is unequalled.
  14. I thought up the Martin Lewis site before he did! An £80m regret not putting it in place!
  15. Yes, I jumped from 150 reads a day to nearly 4,000. A bit of a shame I can't travel far these days given that it's meant to be a travel blog!
  16. Youre in good company. Just had Ashes winning captain Michael Vaughan randomly follow me on Twitter and say much the same.
  17. Have we won a game starting with a back three this season?
  18. I've not taken it as patronising. My mindset is positive from the point of view I can accept death. Not sure about the dying bit that cones before it. The original "see the world" intentions are pretty much gone. Travel is getting tougher. But there's no depression. I'm fairly tappy with what I've got and have started dishing out a bit of cash to the kids, which is immensely satisfying.
