  1. Your right it was, cant say I was impressed with him but it was one half of football, hard to really see his ability.
  2. 2-0 to latics Whits and Wolf scored. Liked the look of Furman (was all over the pitch, looks like a hard worker) and Jacobson. Abbott looks like he needs a few more games for match sharpness but some nice touches. Worthington looked decent as well. They all looked pretty sharp considering it was the first friendly. COG was unlucky (hit the bar twice).
  3. The lad that played left wing 2nd half is bugging me as I know who he is but cant think of his name. Thought the lad that played 2nd half CB with Haining looked alright, didnt rate the small guy who played CM or the keeper though (although he didnt really have much to do so it was hard to judge.
  4. I dont think it mattered who started tonight, it was just a case of fitness and match sharpness.
  5. I will have to get mine on the way home from work. Hpoe they have got a decent amount of stock in.
  6. Can we have another option. Would have gone to both but im not paying to watch Sunderland reserves so im just going to the masters
  7. Fair enough this maybe to get experiance but 1. Will he be first choice there (if not completely pointless) 2. If he goes on loan and we dont someone in what happens if Dean or Josh get injured. 3. If we get someone in on loan for the season we either get someone good enough to be first choice (meaning Dean gets no experience) or we get someone as backup who will more than likely be :censored: (as a decent keeper will not come on loan here to sit on the bench).
  8. - Dean Furman payment was £50k downpayment with extras to follow, 3 clubs in league 1 after him, 5 in total - Chron printed some article that was a pile of crap - Lee Hughes offered contract but turned it down and thinks hes turned down notts county as well - Training is hardest hes seen it but the players are really enjoying it. - Lots of friendlies as DP wants to see as much of the players as poss before new season starts cant remember the rest
  9. I wouldnt pay the money they are on about for Lambert anyway, his goal scored record isnt that great (apart from last season)
  10. Sky Sports Lee Hughes has been offered a contract at Notts County as he bids to find a new club for next season. The 33-year-old is a free agent after his deal at Oldham expired at the end of last term. Hughes, who has scored 141 goals in 344 career appearances, held talks with Magpies manager Ian McParland on Friday and negotiations are ongoing. "Lee was here and we made him an offer which he went away to think about," McParland told the club's official website. Negotiations ongoing "His agent has come back to us with some figures that are a little too high but we are still keen to see if we can come to an agreement and we will be planning more dialogue this week with Lee. "We have made some key signings in the last week with Graeme Lee and Ben Davies becoming part of what we are trying to achieve here, and Lee would be another major piece in the jigsaw we are putting together. "Signing a striker has been vital because we didn't score enough goals last season and I believe if Lee signs he can strengthen our frontline considerably. His record speaks for itself and if we manage to get him here I will be delighted." Latics return? Oldham have not yet ruled out the veteran front-man signing new terms at Boundary Park, although club chairman Simon Corney says that will be a decision left to manager Dave Penney. "Hughesy has not been able to find another club and is training with us," Corney told the Manchester Evening News. "Who knows? It's Dave's decision." Hughes spent the back end of last term on-loan at Blackpool but failed to earn a permanent move to Bloomfield Road.
  11. I dont think Fergie wanted Tevez and offered him a contract that Fergie knew he would turn down to appease the fans. I personally would have Owen over Tevez as my 3rd striker as he is a more natural goal scorer. With the medical staff at Man U, training with people like Rooney and Berbatov and the service he would get I think he could be a good signing for them.
  12. £10 not too bad, I like to go to the friendlies to see any new signings in action
  13. Yeah sorry I meant over priced as in what they value him at.
  14. talk sport are pretty certain its true and when they info like this it normally is true.
