  1. Dale Tempest tweeting that the market was suspended as they were/are expecting Grayson to be announced as manager.
  2. Roger Palmer Testimonial game. Can't remember anything other the score though!
  3. Yeah, did see their fixtures. No idea how the process works but my thinking was given that it's our home game and we play practically every Tuesday in February and March anyway we might show a bit of common sense and not just rearrange for the earliest available date.
  4. If the powers that be have got a brain (a big ask with our lot) then they'll re-arrange this fixture for first week in April - falls in the Easter school holidays and a chance of milder weather by then. However I'd bet money that we try and shoehorn it in for 21st February giving us the 'tantalising' prospect of three home games in a row.
  5. Play offs have gone now, it's the other end of the table we should be worrying about given our tendency to flatline once February arrives. Smith isn't up to it at this level at the moment and not sure he ever will be, however would be tempted to send him out on loan somewhere to see if a run of games brings about any improvement. Left back is the problem area for me, Lee doesn't look comfortable there and Dickov doesn't seem to fancy Mellor in that position. Would love to see Danny Jones back, not getting a game at Sheff Wed, perhaps not the greatest defender but offers a proper threat going forward down that wing, something we're badly lacking at the moment.
  6. Because it's been debated on about 4 other different threads.
  7. Any chance of the mods locking this thread a la the ticketing one?!
  8. Thought it was tidy enough, would look better if the corners were filled in. Plenty of boozers and eateries nearby, free parking and easy to get away from. £2.60 for a sausage roll inside the ground is a bit steep mind.
  9. They have a commentator and usually David Fairclough shown on screen at the ground, camera occasionally pans around for shots of the crowd, pretty sure they commentate as well but certainly no live action pictures are shown.
  10. It's a forum, no moaning, no forum! I've no doubt there will be plenty of tickets available on the day, probably below face value too. My gripe has been with the allocation process and the ensuing bunfight today for the remaining tickets, just think it could and should have been handled a lot better, it shouldn't matter if we only have this type of game once in a while.
  11. No, it's embarrassing mentioning it twice on the website though.
  12. No, but making people queue for hours on end in the middle of winter to buy tickets is embarrassing in 2011. And no mention of whether or not the kid got his ticket or not....
  13. Website making two mentions of people being treated for hypothermia, like it's a badge of honour. Embarrassing more like.
  14. Why? Absolutely right that you have first opportunity to buy but I really struggle with the idea that an ST holders money is better than a pay on the day supporter.
  15. Makes good headlines in the Chron. 'Cup fever grips town' and all that bollocks.
  16. Good for you, but your ST doesn't entitle you to two tickets for Home games so for me it's a nonsense that you should be able to have two for this, or indeed, any other away game regardless of who we are playing.
  17. Got no problem with people wanting to queue up for 2-3 hours, but in 2011 it shouldn't really be necessary. The cost of having a few extra people taking phone or wireless card orders would be peanuts. And I don't think ST holders should have able to purchase more than one ticket, let alone people being able to get as many as they want on open sale, but there you go.
  18. Same. Drove up, saw the queue and turned back. How much would it really cost to loan a few wireless card payment devices? Been handled in a poor way from the start, but I look forward to seeing all our new supporters on New Years Eve for the County game!
  19. Skybet have put Kevin Keegan in at 25/1. Hmmmm. It's between Chris Beech and Garry Flitcroft for the job.
  20. One game should be televised as well, another small Brucie bonus for the beancounters
