  1. Surely we've seen enough of Smith to know that he isn't up to it at this level? Taylor hasn't played a minute of League football, would be asking a lot of the lad for him to start the season as our main striker, hence the interest in Clarke.
  2. Yeah, would imagine our wage bill is a bit lower than last season at present with Kuqi, Lee and Taylor gone
  3. Wages, he was one of their biggest earners and they're looking to reduce wage bill.
  4. I couldn't really fancy Bubba on a links course but he is top of the PGA stats for greens in reg. Impossible to know what Mickelson will do at the moment, if he gets the putter hot then who knows but don't think him or Bubba will like the weather forecast much.
  5. Fancy South Africa to be winning nationality so have punted Els 45/1 Oosthuizen 50/1 Goosen 110/1 Coetzee 150/1 Also thrown a few quid on Dustin Johnson 55/1 and Bjorn 100/1 And when they all miss the cut I'll reload at the weekend!
  6. Interesting about Brown, sounds like (hopefully) we've got a Kyle Walker-lite on our hands.
  7. All the best to the lad, he'll need it working for Westley and Ridsdale. Gave us some good moments but do feel we've traded up with Croft.
  8. Would certainly welcome him back, got a presence about him, pacy, and does his best work in the penalty box.
  9. I'd keep Diallo, can't imagine his wage will be too high and should be able to cover both the full back positions. Hoping that Dickov has earmarked Mellor for the left midfield role.
  10. One of my favourite players of recent times, would be an excellent signing for us.
  11. Would have him back in a heartbeat. And if he wants to bring Kilkenny back with him as well I'd be cool with that.
  12. Looks like Posh have moved their attention elsewhere http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11750/7810923/Posh-have-bid-accepted
  13. Winchester needs to disappear to League 2 for a while, play some games and drink a few protein shakes. Someone like Tommy Miller would be a cracking signing for us to compliment Furman and Wes IMO.
  14. As long they charge their lot £23 to get in again I'll be happy!
  15. Had a horrible feeling he'd end up at the Gayfarm so pleased that didn't happen, surprised he's ventured so far down Sarf though.
  16. Proper Little Miss Sunshine aren't we?! Nothing like a bit of ambition before we've even reached June!
  17. Think they are still being paid by West Ham over the Tevez affair, but can't imagine the likes of Lowton and Quinn will fancy another season in Div 3. Get Crewe back up tomorrow and it'll have been a decent weekend for us.
  18. Yes, because the voucher option was really widely known about wasn't it?! Pretty sure it only came to light after someone mentioned it on here. Rummy, think you're twisting what I'm saying somewhat. The date of the game was irrelevant, my point was that there should have been other avenues available to supporters who weren't in a position to go and queue. As jss says, a member scheme would cost buttons to implement, easy money for the club, would provide ready made database of active fans who they can then target for other revenue streams and I actually think there would be a decent takeup on it.
  19. Expecting people to queue 3/4 hours in the middle of Christmas week on what for many would have been a working day isn't really my idea of the club doing all it can. With a membership scheme in place, such circumstances could be avoided. You'd have a day or even half a day set aside for members to either collect or phone up to reserve their ticket, then the remaining can go on open sale. It shouldn't matter if we only get these games coming round every few years.
  20. The farce was the club were only interested in looking after ST holders, they basically touted the rest.
