  1. Exactly, there are obstacles but there must be a different set-up, wether it be a low cost season ticket if enough people buy or a scheme simlair to udders or port vale I dont know but the owners are businessmen who surely understand that for whatever reason it hasn't worked this year crowd wise - If the floaters can watch City for less then wheres the incentive to come to BP - I don't know the answers but I'd be really suprised if the club weren't looking at changing things though - If the owners are here for the long haul then theres got to be a better way of getting gates up in the future - Even if that meant another loss in the near time, It's a working class town in the middle of a recession and not everyone can justify the prices, I think a reduction in some way would worik well on all levels
  2. Daft question - it's something in your life that irrationally means so much, no other "product" has given me anywhere near to the buzzes and the lows I've had watching this club, You also wouldn't spend money on anything else that wasn't up to scratch - as with many latics teams, you wouldn't travel 250 miles for anything else that had the possinility of being soul destroying - even when your away the tics are with you
  3. As i said I know the money situations at the clubs is vastly different but there is something fundamentally wrong with fans of a 3rd tier club paying more for a book than premier league fans 5 miles down the road - I'ts not a go at the owners, just a change of plan is a must in my opinion

    OWTP!?

The design of the shirt is sound, In blue would've made a nice home kit - fair do's to the club, nowt wrong with a bit of pink either, Gregan seems to like it
  5. Read in the evening new last night that City had announced a 7% reduction in season tickets for next year - the cheapest one this saeson for them was abou £370 - with the reduction that will come down to £344. In the current economic crisis other clubs are bound to follow suit - Something will have to be done next season, I know the money situation is very precarious but if we (not me this year but probly next) are paying more for 3rd or even 2nd division football then something is wrong surely - If we got promoted and their was a feel good factor at the club a reduction to £200 could easily see us sell 6/7000 season tickets - just small allocation every game to away fans

    OWTP!?

Eh??? I dont earn a massive wedge but i still put change into buckets for worthwhile causes - a little sacrifice can do alot pal
  7. had a black away kit the season after Chelsea first had theirs and then had the white away kit the season after Chelsea had theirs, now the fluo after Chelsea again... The black one was alright though, badge in the middle - blue trim
  8. Quality - me and a few mates went to watch the tinkers at the colliseum a couple of years back, great reference to the tics in that song
  9. I remembert when they painetd that - wasn it in the town square shopping centre first?
  10. Ceers for that, I must have had us down for a couple of wins where you've gone for draws - I thought I was being critical... I think in all honesty that I've gone for a worse case scenario run of results - I hope that we'll make the play offs pretty comfortably but i would take the 75 points and feel above tranmere on goal difference any day of the week
  11. i did a tally of the points i think we'll get and in which games - I worked out a pesimistic 26 - give us 75 points, would that be enough for playy offs?
  12. Ias hungaria the name of the town/city? be class for pre-season tour, if only for the cheap tabs and ale
  13. i like the lec coq sportif one with the motives down the arm vneck and the white stipe across lees' one both form 80s - think the kit design should go back to broad blue stipe and white outer -
  14. was going until last few days but finances wont allow it - house and tins for me unfortunately, shame cos would have been a new ground to tick off list
  15. What knowledge have Corney, Blitz and gazal got on lower division footballers - they of course should have a say on the amounts spent/wages and the areas needing strenghening but it is not in their job descciptions to dictate who we sign - who we sell is business related and has financial implications on the club, but in terms of signings I'd be suprised if any had been not Sheridans choice. This is what pisses me off at the moment about the big guns, Owners who actually believe that they are qualified to make football related decisions - Put in some puppet and then use the club (any club) to live out some financially viable boyhood fantasy
  16. Chairman/owners should say "this is what you've got to spend" rest should be nowt to do with them in all fairness
  17. typical FA, victimising poor Leeds yet again - all this after an illegal points deduction, I dont know how they sleep at night.
  18. between 89 - 91 were class as a kid, sat on the barrier at the front of the chaddy, on the pitch for Redfearns pen. had a season ticket for the chaddy in the prem days and wasn't the same sat next to the old man as it was on the barriers - 30 a side in the clayton beforehand. happy days... the season we lost to QPR was the closest I've felt to having any where near the team we had back in the day and missed only a couple of games all season but happiest was as a nipper between 89-94, just wished I'd have savioured it more - little did i realise that 5 years down the I'd be away at Colchester on a tuesday night - for those older, there was probably always a knowledge that we were punching above aour weight but at the time I took it all for granted, jsut hope the younger fans now get to experience some of the days/nights we had - memories to the grave and all that
  19. knowing Kilkennys previous actions he might want a loan move with a chance of keeping himself in the shop window - He obviously enjoyed his times here previously but he wasn't enthusiastic about making it permanent - could work well for both parties, personally would love to have him back - potentially class above, we have seen it...
  20. 1200 dear do, on telly and not best form going into game
  21. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=AuPKHYMbxaA - would look lilke theft unfortunately
  22. No evidence to suggest we can get the consistency going to get that second spot, can beat anyone on our day so got to be optimistic if we can hold onto top 6
