Would his reappointment seriously look to be the appointment of a financial mercenary who reneged on false promises or the reappointment of a man who'd gone with blessings on the basis we'd been paid for him. Whatever your view on Corney, he doesn't strike me as the kind of bloke who'd take being mugged off well.

I can't imagine that in this day and age, particularly with a bloke getting a management job for the first time, that there's not a clause in the contract waiving any pay-off.

The detractors' reasons for not taking the offer up are understandable. We could all probably guess the vague answers to the majority of questions. If you've got the number down to 20, I've no doubt they're going to include the important ones that people want a yes, no or monetary amount answer to. Here's hoping we get some answers. Despite the flippant comments before, I am glad and appreciative you've taken this up. This club's at the lowest ebb it has been in my lifetime. Give him the season. The issues are bigger than him and I struggle, even after being at Lincoln, to have any real grievances with him. It's just damage limitation until the changes that are needed come about.
