    If the meltdown was just on here after 3 games, I'd be of the opinion that it was far too early for scaremongering. When the gaffer's clearly already thinking we're fucked, it's pretty worrying. That sounded like an interview from a man who's got close to having had enough. Things can change quickly but I reckon the club might just be cursed.

    Other than a couple of exceptions, most of the clubs in this division would be getting similar or lower crowds under the same circumstances. 20 years in leagie one and Wigan, Bolton, Burnley, Huddersfield etc would all be doing well to pull 4,000 home fans.

    As much as I like Marshall, I don't think his signature has added anything to the value of the shirt. It's a rare, retro and wearable shirt. It'd have done better without.

    Pretty much my story. Born 83 and memories of me old man saying "Enjoy it, it won't always be like this". I didn't take any notice and it was only about 6 Vale Park trips later that I started to appreciate what I saw. Feel privileged to be fair. My happiest Latics memories are from my childhood. Feel worse for my younger brother. He's 24 and not seen anything but this. I'd take my experience over his.

    I always get giddy after a few signings but if we were to sign a keeper and midfielder in the mould of Ripley and Baxter, we'd be as strong as we'd looked for a while. It's likely that the fees we've paid are minimal with buy back and large sell on clauses but we look like we're at least going to make a fight of it.
