    Agreed. On the same note, ideally he'd have gone 10 years earlier but, despite the land being gone and us seemingly being unsellable, he's found a buyer. Most of legacy will depend on what happens next. If he's sold us to the right chap, the last 15 years won't be remembered that badly.

    It was cautiously optimistic. He couldn't give too much away and, in truth, he's not going to know what will happen next (Corney and co have accepted a price and they've no control over what happens next). I quite liked the fact that he sounded upbeat about it without spinning any yarns though.

    We're playing well and under normal circumstances, I'd fancy our chances. It's them though and we never seem to get anything there.

    Echo what's been said. Sad when it went but but I've contributed to its demise by not buying it for 10 years (being on here and hearing about Latics that way has probably played a big part in that to be honest). I'll probably make a conscious effort to get a few a more now but if it wasn't feasible before, I can't see how it's going to be sustainable a few weeks later.

    I had a text to lump on a few hours ago. Someone's said something as he's come from nowhere. Mate got 4s after he got the text and was well longer than that a few hours earlier. 6/4 now! Hopefully bullshit.

    Why not? It's something to be proud about when we've got fuck all else going for us. Irrespective of whether they go to home games, it shows the potential is still there. If you'd rather we tool 150 to every away but at least they all go to home games, fair enough. Me... I quite like the fact we're clearly not as tinpot as our contemporaries.

    Shez sounded a lot chirpier... Couple more decent results, up to mid-table, and the seasons starts afresh. I just hope he gives the new owners a dilemma.
