I agree that the questioning was continually off topic and unanswerable, but i also think that the sensitive nature of the conference called for him to apologise at times. I have no doubt normally, Mr Hardy would take great pleasure in backing the media off - but we had to - as a club - come across as right in this one and not as a callous., cold hearted football club. I thought the club got the balance right. In particular Hardys response, when the press asked about Hughes' converting to Islam, at which Hughes denied...in stepped Hardy "don't believe everything you read in the papers!!" Priceless!

I was referring to the wording being similar to Big Fin (Finnish) Just found it amusing, bearing in mind your debate with the Finmister!! Was not meant as a pedantic comment! -_-

I have to say well done to Alan Hardy, i thought he was excellent then. How tough was that though for Hughes - certainly a baptism of fire for the lad. All we can do now, is get behind the lad when he puts a blue/navy/tangerine shirt on and hope that as a character he will be strong enough to take the chants/taunts from oppo fans/players and media. At least you got locked in and not out!!!! I was yapping to a couple of guys who were just about to play on the pitch where we had played...well they actually asked me to turn out for an half, before the latics!!!! no way jose!!! So by the time i'd walked from the far car park, with all my change of clothes you lot were obviously locked in...i was locked out!!!, back to the car i went, bag, trainers and change of clothes in hand, changed in the car - not good!!, but the day was saved when myself and ominous poultry managed to get into the green for a couple of swifties before entering the mecca for the game!! All in all not so bad.

was 30 crosses and no shots on target not a major contributing factor to the loss rather than 1 mistake from a full back though? Yes he probably will get caught out, but i guess A; Giddings was injured B; Shez possibly looking to the next 6 months as we won't have Giddings but will have Bertrand. Either way BF, i feel if we don't start scoring soon(which i'm sure we will do!!), we'll be discussing bigger issues than the 'odd' defensive lapse!

4 goals in 4 games.....we let 47 league goals in last year (46 games), 1 a game! Scunthorpe let in 35. We're not a million miles away at the mo defensively, as many have already stated, it's the other end we need to prioritise and get right!!

I can see your concern, but i don't think Bertrand, Eardley, giddings, Lomax or even Stam are equipped to deal with long diag balls over the top! For me only Thomson could cut out that. But i think apart from this weakness, Bertrand, Giddings and Eardley have on evidence done a reasonable job defensively this season and i'm sure Crossley would vouch for that, as he hasn't exactly been 'mowed out' over the last couple of games! I think most teams will struggle with a 50 yard diag ball over the top, because if you are coping with that then imo, you are too deep anyway!! Especially at home!

Well assessed BF Yes i do! I think we have to bear in mind that (if i'm right) Giddings goes back next week and Bertrand is here till Jan?! I think Bertrand has all the makings now and after watching Giddings also, i believe he will go back into Cov's first team set up v quickly. So we have to be prepared to seeing Bertrands forward thinking rather than a 'solid' full back!

Glad to see sense prevailing this season with Lidds. The stick he got last year imo completely unjustified as is the stick Ricketts is/will receive this year ( i honestly think a lot of these negative/c r a p opinions on players comes from those (generally!!) who've never played the game before and can only see a one dimensional game. Though i do have to type on this one ..Gregan midfield??????????????? imo not any more!!! Those days are surely loooonnngg behind him!! If JP and KK (although not fully fit) can get over run, what chance would Greags have?

Bertrand!! The lad's got quality running through him. His first touch for a young lad is immense! (had a comparison on saturday with Eardleys first touch), you can see Bertrand is in a different league. Will be a quality player in future i'm sure.

2-3-7 1-2-9 it wouldn't have mattered how many were thrown up top, with the colossus presence of myself, beardy, leesyverypunk man who nearly popped the ball with his spikes on numerous occasions and of course ritchie irwin our maurauding right back. II ain't half grazed my leg though after my tremendous goal line clearance....(oasis') only shot on goal i think 1st half!!!! Thanks for that IC I've just noted we were in a spell of three draws at the time, so i guess Mr&Mrs Briefs had little else to do!!

When i say GENUINE..i used it as 7 out of the 8 regularly watch the mighty 'tics' However the other i believe had fell into pagan territory But i still think we had 6 more GENUINE fans than the last lot of "fake live tv numpties!!" Trying to represent the blues!!

That's the one Mr Beardmister The limp was definately dodgy and almost ashamed to say...pre-meditated!! The Killen in pen business was because A; None of us had his name on the back! (not a great surprise there!) B; Because if Lovejoy had thought there were any pre-planning on who was doing the catwalk, he'd have not let us do it!! So we had to write it on in pen really quickly, just before the show!! After the show, we all popped along to watch us beat Gillingham 1-0 and who scored the winner!?!?!?!? Yep Killen!! Quality!!! And i think 7 out the 8 of us were GENUINE latics at the time!!
