  1. Ref had no option, the ball must be able to roll, it couldn't, match off.
  2. Now you've made me worried in case Chelsea and Man City come knocking on our door fighting it out for Brill's services.
  3. During the mid 60's FA Cup tie with West Ham, Lawson dumped "Budgie" Byrne on his arse in the centre circle. Byrne, not amused looked at the ref for justice that wasn't forthcoming and gobbed off when it didn't go his way. As soon as the ref turned his back Lawson stamped on Byrne's hand. I thought that was pretty dirty myself.......It was also incredibly funny. Thanks for the memory Alan.
  4. Indeed. Was anyone else at Ewood Park when the Blackburn centre half had a dig at Ron in their penalty area ? The lad ran full pelt upfield to the half way line unaware that Ron was following him. Until of course an uppercut decked him.
  5. I can see that challenge on Stobart as if it were yesterday. Just in front of the main stand midway in the Chaddy end of the pitch. High ball and instead of heading the ball Lawson nutted the back of Stobart's head. The poor lad had a greyish hue as he was stretchered up the tunnel. As someone else pointed out, George Sievewright wasn't exactly a girlie either.
  6. There's a copy in a charity shop in Oldham @ about a quid. Been there a few weeks as well. No names but who can pronounce Xomaf anyway.
  7. They're just piss poor players, no one could rally this crew.
  8. The BNP are voted in is because too many people are unwilling to see that racism is a two way street. White people don't have a patent on racism. Until PC loonies with their heads in the clouds realise that the BNP will flourish and that is a bad case scenario for every one. We should have apologised for our part in the slavery trade only after the black African nations who colluded in it had apologised !
  9. One howler ?? A couple of home games ago Brill let an easy cross slip through his fingers. It drifted past the post fortunately for us and unfortunately for the DVD football howlers producers. On targer and it would have been a classic. There are times when Brill manages to look decent but if most of us are honest, you're just waiting for the next Brill cock up. It usually arrives, sooner rather than later.
  10. Yep, he really was garbage. The amount of space he was giving their winger in the first half had to be seen to be believed. Maybe he thought he was playing centre back ? Far too easily beaten on numerous occasions, garbage is a fair description. As for him playing in centre midfield, why not ? Poorest midfield I've ever witnessed at BP.
  11. Possibly because he was a workshy little sh#t at Huddersfield and Hartlepool ?
  12. Cometh the hour, cometh the man ! Well done that man.
  13. Having Furman and Whittaker we can afford to mock.
  14. Keep your childish bummers remark to yourself in future. As for Gregan last season he started the season strongly, had a poor spell of between 10-12 matches, and finished the season in top form. Or are you a better judge than Joe Royle ? Do not try and justify the fact you couldn't tell a footballer from a plant pot by altering the facts to suit your case.
  15. Hughes was the best striker we've had in years. So now we have Parker who doesn't score home or away, and doesn't give a toss anyway.
  16. I don't think you'll have that chance because five of the above are injury prone and Taylor appears to be heading the same way. Just what the idea was of signing these players I'll never understand.
  17. I didn't criticise Brill either but I do think a sack of Maris Piper would be better than him.
  18. Credit where it's due, the lad wasn't brilliant but certainly a lot better. His ball control is his let down as time and again it runs away from him. Unfortunatally,it isn't something you can learn, you either have it or you don't.
  19. The way Brill is being treated by a section of the crowd is disgusting to say the least. The lad simply isn't up to the job and all the jeering in the world isn't going to alter that,or improve his game for that matter. Regarding Fleming, he's excellent at shot stopping and taking crosses, however he does have a problem IMO with his mad dashes from his line. It happened too often for comfort last season and according to comments made by Dunfirmline fans on their forum,is continuing. Still a better option though.......
  20. He'd be quicker if he lost a bit of weight. And he'd be a better player if he realised he's nowhere near as good as he thinks he is. Hopefully he'll be up for the Uddersfelt game.
