  1. Now I like that idea. Blackpool have redeveloped their ground on a slow and steady basis, one stand at a time over a longer period of time. Just what is wrong with that idea! I think people need to understand the economy in the UK is shot - for various reasons - and people don't have the spending ability they had in the past. We need to think long term but on a smaller scale. Get the fan base back by playing quality football, and take it one step at a time to redevelop BP. Lets stay there, tell everyone we are going to redevelop slowly and get back those fans who have gone elsewhere thinking the move to Failsworth was on the cards. Lets be realistic. What you don't have - don't try and spend for the sake of it! Cheers - Brian
  2. Mexico is fantastic - but beware, they always hide refried beans somewhere on your meal plate!!! I was told it was windy in places!
  3. Just been updated by the ever correct BBC -15 and -17. Looks like it's Jeff Stelling for me on Saturday!!!
  4. No I am good at the Gym. I used the new machine last week and got a Mars Bar and Packet of Crisps for £ 1.50...............
  5. Yep, you gave me the idea and I had just driven past the place, so yes points shared. At my age and weight I always do a "drive past" at gyms and sports centres!!
  6. Not to sure on this one as I don't do "fit", but could it be the new sports centre thingy on Burnley Street in CHADDERTON?
  7. Not to sure on this one as I don't do "fit", but could it br the new sports centre thingy on Burnley Street in CHADDERTON?
  8. I know I should be in Warsaw now but as the game's off and it't the kids Christmas Party here I am with nowt to do. The photograph is the start of many away trips in days gone by - Oldham Mumps Railway Station Enterence
  9. Lol - Yes only since 1974, I think when we "Oldham" that is nicked it from the good people of Failsworth Urban District
  10. Somebody's been researching the potential new ground and local pubs!!! From memory of passing it twice a day on my way to/from Manchester it's got to be Failsworth Town Hall!!
  11. Just been avin a rummage on the Football League's official site and Deano's the Goalkeeper in the team of the week!!
  12. Bus from Broadway, just outside the ground. First Manchester 24 or 181/182. Takes about 45 minutes. Enjoy the game. Remember to leave the 3 points at Boundary Park!
  13. Try The Dog & Partridge, Middleton Road Royton. About 30 parking spaces, good beer, away fans welcome and only less than 10 minutes walk from Boundary Park. After the game and you have left the 3 points you can buy me a pint!!
  14. Yes he's back on his perch on top of the "Suite" tweeting as we speak.
  15. Strange though, the "live pictures" stop at 2 - 2. Er Did we not score another two? Gosh - pinch me all over again!
  16. Did Latics Blue Say Feeney & Feeney? That's shabby that, at least I would pay for the bus fare (single) as well.
  17. Wow what a fantastic idea, only two disadvantages though, a) I would have to walk an extra mile to the pub and an extra mile back to watch the game. b ) The slope on the pitch at Tangs may well be bigger than Yeovil's old ground. Having seen the recent planning blunders as reported in the "Oldham Morning Chron" we could apply to build a table football site and no one would notice the additional 48000 seats - bring it on....
  18. The Republic of Royton. Why move to Failsworth, I can walk to BP, and after we have secured the 3 points, there's a good pub on the way home!! :drinking45: :drinking45:
  19. Wow, what a post, when I write my book can I include that!!!!!!!!!! :o
  20. Just read the official site. It's so good but it dosn't tell me what kit we are playing in (unless I have to assume it's the one in the photograph!).
  21. Thought this one would have been on by now:- Apparently all trains to Liverpool Lime Street have been stopped. It's due to a points failure at Anfield. Well at least it's clean!!
  22. It's me!!!!!! Row 18, 3 in from the left. I know I look asleep but 5 hours on the coach and 4 pints of Fullers London Pride didn't help!! Well worth the trip!! Cheers - Brian
  23. Good Evening, All my 3 eldest kids have passed with Beechwood Driving School in Royton, (John 0161 652 5897). I don't know what the going rate is for lessons but all were impressed with his teaching methods and passed 1st time. {The middle one Sarah now does about 6000 miles a year driving me to away games, so I can now have a drink - happy days!!
