  1. What a breath of fresh air that was to see an England team realise its true potential. The big thing for me was that the last time we played in croatia we went with a horrendous 3-5-2 formation which everyone was completely unfamiliar with every team in the premiership plays either 4-5-1 or 4-4-2 so stick to that. Long way to go in the qualifying campaign yet but its good to see the real England for a change.
  2. Is a very good point and if you are physically fitter you are going to be mentally stronger which will mean less lapses in concentration towards the end of games and less mistakes made.

  4. He's a footballer his ability is in his feet not in public speaking, I would rather he was able to put the ball in the back of the net than be able to elequently quote shakespere in his interviews. I also hope the lesson he learns from this is to not let other people players or fans get to him keep his head and concentrate on his game when things go against him. He does that then he will become the player we all know he can be.
  5. I think he really does like it here you could tell by his reaction at the end of the game He also appreciated the his body is a temple chants too.
  6. Was the guy sat 2 rows in front of me absolutely brilliant! most original song Ive heard from us in years Now we just need Chris Ogrady to start scoring and we can sing it more often.
  7. Are we going to have abit of banter with him tomorrow because I think this whole thing has got boring now. Surely enough water has passed under the bridge with this guy now he came, he tried, it didnt work, out he moved, on so did we. That said a few bevys down my kneck tomorrow Junior Moore scores and gestures at us and things could all quickly change .
  8. Like the chants ideas although i really don't want to be threatening people with my goolies
  9. Well originally I came up with the idea of Glossop Oldham Origin Loyal Independent Elite Supporters I take it you avoid driving through the town Diego to avoid the Traffic Hell that is Mottram.
  10. On a serious note I think this will die down quite abit once the novelty of being close to the away fans has worn off. I think most of us didn't really see the problems that knocking the Broadway stand has caused. Once the redevelopment is complete and once we get an idea of where different segments of the crowd are going to sit its should all return to normal.
  11. Where here, where there, where every piggin where!
  12. Aslong as it is filled with water electric eels, crocodiles and piranaha fish I'm all for it
  13. Agree with you on the sense that this must have been going on on the quiet for quite sometime. What I will disagree with you on is the effect on us the effect is not even slightly disastourous City's fan base will grow but outside of Greater Manchester and in particularly outside the UK. Not only that but we already have that many clubs on our doorstep just one doing better won't have that much effect City already have such a large fanbase locally so I can't see that changing, its not like an entirely new club has relocated right on our doorstep.
  14. This might be aload of bull but I heard he is only paid something like 50K a year to be Croatia manager. I'm sure atleast 1 premier league club could tempt him, and like you I believe he is a pretty impressive one of the best young coaches in europe.
  15. Yeah but what if Lomax gets injured? Apart from that everything is sound though.
  16. That situation is unlikely to come about due to European labour laws. I for one will not be expecting The Micah money anytime soon or at all for that matter and neither will TTA who will be smart enough not to gamble our future on the premises that we will be getting Xmillion from from something which is completely out of our hands. This clause should be something that we should only ever see as a potential bonus and not something we should depend upon. I will wait and see what happens with City. These people just like TTA are not going to keep wanting to plunge huge sums of money bankrolling a football team that they had no previous conection with forever. Even Abramovich has set out that he wants chelsea to breakeven at some point. As someonesle has said I will wait until I see the likes of these players in City shirts before I believe everything that they are promising.
  17. Possibly cover at left back as we don't have anyone behind Lomax and I wouldn't want to see Taylor moved to Left back at all.
  18. So we are waiting for some balls to drop are we
  19. True but the BBC website has said that Thaksin is keen to retain a stake in the club anyway will see what happens. How many times before have we heard new owners coming making sweeping statements only to not follow up on what they have promised.
  20. Do you reckon city would actually want to cash in on their clause? If these owners are serious then they will see Richards as a player who is indespensible so why give us a million 2 million or whatever? Really with this one we aren't I believe in any position of strength to negotiate with them so It think we may have to leave it. Its very rare that you see a top player run down his contract now clubs are quite savy to this and have them tied down to a new deal or sold off a year before their contarct is due to expire. Anyway best wait to see how this takeover works out as even if it goes through Thaksin will very much be in the frame with city which could be a potential for conflict.
  21. What a load of rubbish what we should be doing is PANIC! PANIC! PANIC! We will now definately lose 8-0 at Colchester (eardley scoring 4 own goals) be relegated by chrismas be in administration by Febuary and Liquidated by May Their is no room for that kind of thoughtful perspective on this board.
  22. If Reuben Hazel makes you nervous god knows how you must have felt when the likes of Terrell Forbes or Guy Branston were wearing a blue shirt you must have been in pieces
  23. Re: Oldham Strip - has anyone mentioned it yet? Posted by: BarneyMcGrew (IP Logged) Date: 17 August, 2008 10:29 It wasnt good but the fact that John Sheridan and Tommy Wright out-thought us again was evenm more disturbing. I said when Wisey walked that these two could really do a job for us. They are very bright. I could see them back with us one day. I think this is the reason why we beat them
