As has been said countless times Davies is a confidence player. If the team arent performing he goes into his shell and seems to sulk a little. When the rest of the team are putting the effort in and the crowd are excited Davies seems to thrive. He was immense IMO in the final 30 mins and should have scored at least 2 or 3. He even played Allessandra in very unselfishly so shows he is listening to Sheridan. Normally he would have thrashed at it and hoped for the best. We just need to make sure that we keep up the 2nd half performance from Davies in future. I have always said it is in him and he is a quality player when he wants to be....its just getting it out of him.

It was Gary Macs shot...who imo was quite anonymous for most of the game......i suppose he is just one of them who gets his place because he can pop up out of nowhere and get you a goal but does little else.....

Allesandra will be on the bench IMHO i would like to see him start up front with maybe davies on the bench to run at the opposition for the last 30 mins....but i think Sheridan will give Davies the benefit of the doubt regarding trying him with the new midfield to see if service is any better...then bring allessandra on for one of allott/macca if we are struggling to put more up front...

Not quite sure about him, supposed to be a model professional but tends to always be injured and has an average scoring record (around 1 in 4)....unless we can get a season out of him like he had at Palace scoring 10 goals in 5 games not bad!

I don't think Jarrett can sign for more than 3 months...thats the maximum you can extend an emergency loan, which he is. So at the best we can keep him until the end of April unless we make it permanent before 5pm today which is unlikely....

And have another episode like Chris M**re i dont think so! There is no need to take a massive financial risk, we already have the ground development happening so we need to keep an eye on the financial situation and can relax a bit once the ground is completed in around 5/6 years time.

Where i agree Taylors performance was much much better than has been recently, i still think there is a lot more to come from the lad. Understandably his quick development has brought extra attention from clubs when they play us and he usually has 2 men marking him. However, Chris really needs to toughen up a lil imo, get those battling tackles in win possession and break. He did it once in the first half and we were nearly rewarded a goal. I was very impressed with Jarrett he did the simple things well spreaded the play and created space for us. No disrespect to Wolfy as i havent seen THAT much of the lad only 10 mins here and there but how he is above Allessandra baffles me, this lad looked like a loan signing from a premiership club. You dont get quick feet and a great footballing brain like that at our level these days. I think Everton picked the wrong 'next Wayne Rooney' when they took spencer!!! Allessandra looked strong, confident, held the ball up well, was brilliant at bringing the midfield into play. And i think it even brought confidence to Smalley playing along his ex team mate as IMO that was also his best game i have seen him play.

I agree its frustrating.....i think Sheridan has actually taken in something that Ronnie Moore was trying to do....thats having a very sound defensive 6 4 defenders two solid midfielders then you rely on the other 4 quality attacking players to create and nick maybe a goal here or there. We have a very solid back 6 imo and also the potential of agreat front pairing in davies and Hughes i just think they need some back up along with 2 quality midfielders to create the opportunites for the front 2. I also think sheridan is considering a 4-3-3 formation with hughes in the middle and davies and another striker just off him (hence his desperation for another central midfielder and another striker alla davies. I think Sheridan believes you do not need wingers at this level (OR WHAT YOU CAN BUY FOR YOUR MONEY JUST AINT GOOD ENOUGH OR ARE PLAYING AT A HIGHER LEVEL.....) just my opinion like...

Used to enjoy looking through the various posts on the message board as the posts were generally well structured debates between certain agendas....Now there are floods of posts ranting on about this that and the other that are frankly quite boring and i know 90% of readers won't give a damn what i think but im moaning on regardless! SHERIDAN IS IN HIS SECOND SEASON IN CHARGE.......WE ARENT PLAYING WELL BUT STILL MANAGE TO SIT MID TABLE AND HAVE ONLY LOST 2 GAMES IN 18 AS WELL AS HAVING THE BONUS OF SEEING A LEAGUE ONE CLUB BEAT A TOP 6 PREMIERSHIP SIDE......SURE THE TEAM ISN'T UP TO GREAT STANDARDS BUT I THINK SHERIDAN WOULD BE THE FIRST TO ADMIT THAT... HALF OF THE SQUAD ARE YOUNGSTERS WHO ARE GREAT PROSPECTS WHO WILL ALSO ONLY GET BETTER AND I THINK SHERIDAN REALISES THIS AND WILL ONLY BUILD ON WHAT WE HAVE ALREADY GOT (HENCE WHY HE DOESNT JUST WANT TO BRING ANYBODY IN HE IS THINKING OF OUR CLUB FOR THE LONG TERM!!!!!!! I dont understand how people can even consider letting Davies go.....just turn your minds back to pre season and the first few games of the season he was a world beater and everyone was jizzing themselves over the prospect we had playing for us at 21 years old....his confidence was sky high and so were his performances.... Now he has hit a lack of form so what do we say....get rid, not good enough blah blah blah.......think of his prospect in the long run...in a good team davies will shine i promise you that.....if we let davies go because he isnt up to standard NOW, i am 100% certain it will come back to bite us in the ass alla jermaine johnson. He has the talent within him so lets turn our attentions to getting that out of him rather than booting him out....

Anyways my message will be sent to alan in the next 30 mins, people may think the lad shouldn't need picking up hes a professional blah blah blah....but at the end of the day he is human and his emotions may sometimes get the better of him be it frustration or desperation....but imo this is an idea that could only help the lad so what harm is done and like BB80 says imagine how you will feel if he scores the winner on saturday to put us in with a chance of facing united/arsenal in the final 16...i know i will feel like i contributed...

Not sure on the exact average age of our Squad but it must be in the early 20's...imagine if we can keep this squad together for at least another year... they can only get better, gain more experience and develop into promotion material sooner rather than later. We have lost 1 game in 17 imagine what this young squad with a couple of key additions could be capable of next season...we might just manage to get out of this hell hole of a division in time to play in the championship in a new stadium!! HALLELUJAH!!!!

I have had my xbox 360 since last xmas and have always just used the regular red,yellow and white components plugged into the back of my telly in the av1 slot. I have just recently bought the VGA/HD xbox 360 lead to plug into the back of my new high definition this works a treat bringing a brilliant crystal clear picture however the lead also has two audio components red and white which when plugged in still provide no sound anyone know why this is???? I have plugged the VGA component into where a pc would go if the telly was being used as a monitor but then i think the audio components can only fit into the AV1 slot so the picture and sound are on two totally different programmes....any ideas what i am doing wrong or what i need to do? Surely if xbox are selling these leads there is a way the sound and picture can both be seen/heard at the same time....

A) Im pretty sure they did know grabban was available...hes not the type of player they will be looking for anyway Most (decent) players will wait until last minute to snap up the best deal as they will have a few on offer sad but true C) Shez has said he isn't going to just sign any old body...if he had signed grabban for 150k and he did naff all it would possibly cost him his job D) I trust Sheridans/Wrights and our backroom staff have got set targets that they feel will strengthen the team, not people that will just sit back pick up their money and do nothing for the cause. Shez will be confident the squa dwe have now will see us avoid the drop so he will be thinking will this player get us promoted....if not is it really worth buying them just to jump up to 9th/10th in the league only to see them leave in a years time because they arent good enough.....pointless.

No chance of getting Showmni Johnson rates him and getting a fair few games in the championship at the mo, dont like the look of that McCammon guy looks like Lemar. Id take a punt on that Christensen though looks like a bit of a gamble that might just pay off. Those are the types of gambles we are gonna have to take if we cant get our desired targets. We need more players in simple as that...

True he seems to dismiss our lack of talent on the wings and would prefer a solid centre. God knows why, maybe he thinks wingers are pretty ineffective at this level...i understand it to a point the wingers we can attract are hardly world beaters bar the odd shuker/hoolahan on their day.
