True but if those we are tracking choose against us at last minute it doesnt really leave us with much scope to bring someone else in... Its ok saying things won't happen until then but thats IF they choose to come to us.

I wouldnt say we are skint....Luton are skint.....We have quite a generous budge by the sounds of it 200k on kilkenny, probably releasing Ricketts wages. SC has said there is money there, i just hope sheridan learns from last years mistakes (he said he has learnt from last year). This time last season he didn't dip into the transfer market to enlarge the squad and we paid the price with a terrible second half of the season.

I think many people will go over the top with criticism because of the bitter tase of a last minute defeat. In reality we looked comfortable for 85 minutes of the game today and got sloppy in the last 5. The real problem was that we didnt look too dangerous today and thats because of the lack of creative quality in the middle of the park i really think we are missing a top class winger (more important that a creative midfielder like kilkenny) IMO. Kalal and Mcdonald showed they are more than capable of doing a good job in the middle of the park but with allot and an inexperienced smalley on the wings we are too one dimensional playing long hopeful balls. I reall think the answer is a new striker with davies on the wing and a new creative central midfelder OR a new winger full stop. We are 8 points off the play offs with a game in hand win that and 5 points with so long left of the season to go is not a disaster. I know not winning at home is dissapointing but we arnet losing because we are being outplayed. We just cant create enough chances and kill teams off, we definately need to invest this january in some creative players. I know they had 10 men but Brighton deserve credit they closed us down none stop for 95 minutes and deserved there goal.

The images on the official site definately show some sort of change to the back of the rochdale road end. Seems to have a back similar to that of the new main stand. Looks as though they may make change so that it doesnt stand out compare to the rest of the stadium....

I noticed that all the councillors comments recently have said that after last nigths talks TTA will resubmit their plans rather than appeal. They could even be resubmitted and heard by December at no extra cost. Hes not on loan bob he has signed for a month with a view to permanent. It is allowed even though the transfer window has closed because he wasnt on a permanent contract with anyone at he start of the season.

Fans tend to favour those that look like they are running their nuts off for the cause i.e warne, Ernie, etc Ricketts is not this type of player and people need to understand that just like liddell isnt. I hope people dont get onto his back any more than they already are because of this. I have heard a couple of comments already.

Well the reason to be suspiscious is because the club were bragging about capturing kilkenny (and rightly so) but now they are saying that they dont know what the deal is. WHich suggests something has happened down the line. It has gone from a certain signing to unsure....thats why im a little worried...

Anyone who has got latics world will hear Sheridans comments regarding the Kilkenny deal. When asked if the neil kilkenny deal is still on he says and i quote: ' I don't know, im hoping so, im just keeping quiet , i dont wanna say too much. When neil is here hopefully he will be here. Il talk about it more but in the meantime im just concentrating on what we have got. When/If he is here we can talk about him a bit more.' A bit worrying since Bruce promised we could have him today and he only needed him to cover for the friendlyt on Tuesday sounds a load of . I think it has something to do with the fact that Ghaly is struggling to receive a work permit and they want to hold onto kilkenny in case it doesnt go through. Typical Bruce though making false promises and Sheridan seems to have been irritated by this in his interview! Fingers crossed!

Theres more than one way to win promotion IMO. This board is all about peoples opinions, some agree some don't. I personally don't think Kilkenny is a winger, never really seen him play effectively there, where i have seen great performances from him in the middle of the park. Im not suggesting we need the same tactics last year i just believe Kilkenny is effectively a central midfielder who can see and pick a pass either left or right, forward or back. To play him out wide would minimise that ability. He is also very dangerous attacking direct at goal and isnt afraid to shoot, somethign that is a lot harder to do when pushed out wide. I think Kilkenny will be predominantly a central midfielder unless Sheridans arm is twisted through suspensions and injuries, plus i think Davies will be ahead of Kilkenny for that spot... Just my opinion!

Strikeforce is looking dangerous...AND GUESS WHAT THERES STILL LEE HUGHES TO COME!!! I cant wait for some high scoring games next season. Make the defence a little more concrete and i think we will be in for some high scoring games next year just like the Royle years!

Kalala makes some very good late runs into the box like mcdonald did at the start of the season last year getting in some great positions. He scored at Barrow and was very unlucky not to score against dale after a great save. I expect Kalala to ship in with 8 goals next season.

I thought we had Ed De Goey in net from first glance the other night!
