  1. On the contrary, his complete lack of ability will be shown up even further at a higher level. He's not even particularly great in the air. He has improved this season, but he's probably still not even good enough for our level.
  2. I would walk to the end of the earth for Joe Colbeck :imnotworthy: :imnotworthy: :imnotworthy: :imnotworthy:
  3. Exactly, it's not just the Asian community who are put off watching the club. Oldham has a population of 103,000 (according to Wikipedia) and yet we average 3000, many of whom travel from neighbouring town's and cities as well as further afield. People generally just aren't prepared to pay a considerable amount of money to watch a poor 3rd tier side. We won't start attracting new fans of any creed or colour until that changes.
  4. It's going to be even worse than this season isn't it? Christ I'm sick of this division. Still hope we stay in it mind you...
  5. If you're going to put an asterisk anywhere in Dickov's name, surely you'd put it after the D?
  6. Even despite the fact I somehow forgot to type the word 'sign'?
  7. We should Chris Huhne's ex-wife. I hear she's great at taking penalties.
  8. I wish I could tell you that Chris fought the good fight, and the Sisters let him be. I wish I could tell you that - but prison is no fairy-tale world
  9. Too many times this season we've had results like this and the players have got complacent, and the next game it's been business as usual. Johnson's main task now is to prevent that happening.
  10. None of whom were appointed in the middle of a relegation battle.
  11. We wouldn't have gone any further under Ronnie 'the Bottler' Moore than we did under Sheridan.
  12. He could be great. Or awful. Or possibly somewhere in between. So in conclusion, I don't know.
  13. I could be wrong, but I'm going to assume none of the rookie managers we've appointed were appointed with Latics in the position we're in now, or similar? That's the difference.
  14. That's irrelevant. The fact is he came in at a similar time and with us in a similar position, and kept us up. It's not the appointment, it's the timing.
  15. As much as I dislike the man, Ronnie Moore saved us from a similar situation did he not? Also, I never said it'd guarantee survival. But I'd be more optimistic than I am with a complete rookie in charge.
  16. Do you honestly think bringing someone in with literally zero managerial or coaching experience, who will inevitably need a few weeks to get accustomed to the role is a wise appointment for a team in freefall and in serious danger of relegation? If we'd been mid-table and out of danger, fine. Or if we'd appointed him over the summer and allowed him time to get used to the role, fine. But to throw him into the firing line now is, in my opinion, complete madness.
  17. Everybody who knows the club can see we're crying out for someone with experience and nous to come in and steady the ship, and yet we're bringing somebody in from the right at the opposite end of the spectrum. Incredible. The little enthusiasm I had left for this football club is quickly beginning to dissipate.
  18. I think it's the fact that they talk a good game on social media but then put in the same old spineless performances on the pitch that pisses people off, and to be honest I can see their point.
  19. Yep. I can't even see where the next goal's coming from, never mind the next win. Bottlers.
  20. Neither do I The 3 in a row, then. Although he was dreadful against Everton.
  21. http://services.pinkun.com/forums/pinkun/cs/forums/2792754/PrintPost.aspx A weirdly laid out page, but some promising comments.
