    I had always been told jones was pissed off at Johnson because Johnson had promised him a central midfield place then played him on the right. As it goes, I think jones would be an ideal replacement for barnsley seeming as hourihane is off.

    He scored 15 in 35 last season, some of them appearances coming from the wing. We complain every season that we need to sign a goalscorer, we get one, and then we say we should sell him. Unbelievable.

    Forest fan at my work said even in the last few seasons he has played well against them despite his age. He could be a very solid addition.

    Failed a medical at Sheff weds last year before signing for Birmingham to then get injured and miss the majority of the season. Looks a risky one.

    Anybody who gives him a bad reception should instantly be ejected and given a life long ban. Seriously though why on earth anyone would give him abuse is beyond me, he worked hard for the team he supports and turned down numerous offers from other clubs because he wanted to play in the championship with Latics. The time he left was the time he realised that wasnt going to happen.
