  1. I can see Dummigan being converted into a winger in time, give him more freedom, he’s certainly got the skill
  2. Preston fans don’t rate Pringle, hasn’t played since the season before last too
  3. Bryan is being strongly linked with Preston
  4. I’ve heard that Bryan is off to Preston. Crying shame but a good fit for him. I get the impressions wellens wants a complete overhaul
  5. Clarke was found out at the start of the season when the pitches were like bowling greens and teams played football and could make him and Gerrard have to keep turning towards their own goal. That along with him being a year older. Now the pitches are cutting up - especially ours, games become more direct which will suit Clarke and Gerrard more as the game will be in front of them rather than behind
  6. Yeah tonight, I’m in Australia where it’s 9:35am so slightly confusing. i imagine that league is about Conference standard
  7. Gerrard and Clarke both played a fair amount in the Championship, I reckon that’s where Bryan will get to. The point I’m making and I’m sure we’ll see come the end of the season is that Wellens wants young, athletic energetic players all over the park
  8. Banging them in for fun in the Albanian league I think. He was at City’s match last night watching his mate Raheem Sterling.
  9. Wellens would shift Gerrard on too if he could. When he says that Kean Bryan is the best defender at the club, a converted midfielder with 3months experience at centre half that tells you what he thinks about Gerrard and Clarke
  10. Rumour on the Wirral that Wellens is going to bring Andy Mangan In from Tranmere. Played with him at Shrewsbury.
  11. Cheers. Finally get to ignore all the nonsense from Rigsby
  12. Is it safe to assume You’re considering your opinion on Fane lately? I know you were a vocal critic last season/beginning of this
  13. Gardner covers more ground than anyone else in the team including Fane. The lads been ill and still plays unlike others. Even if he wasn’t ill he’s allowed a slight dip in form, that’s why he’s a League 1 player but a bloody good one.
  14. Given how little success we had in the first half at Donny I fully expect him to go back to having 2 up top. Plymouth aren’t great in the air so I think all 3 strikers will be on the pitch at least for the last 20minutes unless we’re already a few goals ahead. Will be a great battle seeing Fane up against Diagouraga, expecting some meaty 50/50’s there! Plymouths danger man is Carey, keep him quiet and i’d be confident we’ll get a result.
  15. The ref who didn’t see it is a local lad too who is in his first season in the Prem. He was one of the coaches on my refs course 4 or so years ago.
  16. I wouldn’t say so. Still passes backwards and sideways and didn’t drive forward with the ball. bradfords reserves were worse than Northampton too
  17. Playoffs are too far away which may contribute to not keeping the loanees. Hopefully the chance of Wembley is enough to make some stay
  18. I’m not. McLaughlin was very poor before he got injured and not a patch on last season. He needs to get back up to speed in the practice matches and wait his turn
  19. It is annoying how he’s taken to dropping onto the centre halves toes to get the ball and then play Hollywood diagonals. you look at our passing goals from the start of Wellens reign and he was using his attributes for the good of the team rather than to just make himself look good. Gardner and Fane do pass the ball forwards rather than sidewards so why not have Byrne further forward where he can do more damage and slide balls through for Doyle rather than long aerial ones. If Davies is being rested then we’ll be less tempted to hoof it like we were against Bradford’s reserves. Geo and Tope going at the fullbacks and Doyle’s movement in the box for cutbacks etc SHOULD work.
  20. He was fairly lethal last season coming in off the right hand side and I was glad we signed him for this season. He then just didn’t seem to be in favour for whatever reason. He wasn’t up against much tonight but hopefully he can kick on from this. Him and Dummigan would be quite formidable down the right hand side in terms of pace and technique
  21. Needs space to run into a la MK DOns and last season in the Eredivisie for a struggling team who played on the counter attack. Roots Hall is like BP in that it’s quite small, he isn’t suited to it which is a failing on his part
  22. Likes to watch French TV and look at his phone whilst driving!
  23. That’s very true. He crops up on Fane’s Instagram a lot at what appears to be the middle of the night UK time so he’s probably not living the ideal lifestyle to get up to speed
