  1. Ten goals in forty matches from midfield last season and a N Ireland international ........
  2. Are you a wind up merchant? Please read posts 33 & 34 in this thread.
  3. Let's say this slowly. An exchange of players - if there is a sell on fee applying to one or both of them - is referred to a tribunal. This is so clubs get what is rightly theirs. Not sure how much more clearly to explain it.
  4. Let's not be naive. Bury would, correctly, lodge a complaint with the Football League on the basis that Oldham & Norwich conspired to cheat them out of 20% of the value of a player , Stephens, that a matter of weeks before Oldham had valued as worth a significant amount (see statements from the club).
  5. We did get a fee. AH or SC said so at the time.
  6. But if he is valued at £500K (or whatever) by a tribunal then Bury are entitled to 20% in cash and would Latics have it. . That's the point that was being made by LeylandLatic. OldhamAndy - sell on clauses are binding even if it's a swap deal with a valuation made by a tribunal. There's been the same discussion about Micah Richards.
  7. New fixtures out on Friday. In a shameless rip-off from another site ask you to choose who'd you'd like for the following days: opening game- boxing day- new years day- Easter friday- easter monday- last game- Mine are: opening game- Bury H boxing day- Rochdale A new years day- Sheff Utd H Easter friday- Chesterfield A (match when we clinch promotion) easter monday- Huddersfield H (match when we clinch championship) last game- Notts County A
  8. Indeed, and fair enough. Just think he's only a young lad and isn't necessarily always going to make the best decisions.
  9. So because hudds fans on a messageboard say he's been "linked" we're in a lynch mob mentality...
  10. The principle behind your post is fair but in practical terms I honestly can't see it making a bit of difference to ST sales. The discount period is over. If someone has decided that they still want to get a ST despite higher prices it's not going to be an impulse thing. I suppose it would be interesting to look at ST sales in this period historically and the club has this data. Anyway who knows ....maybe they're preparing for a surge when the new striker signs!!??
  11. Polish born but Aussie U-20 cap. 6' 4" At Leicester from 2007 -10 so will be well known to Taggart. Signed 1 year contract with Accy this time last year so...free.
  12. In reality there already is. Blue Square Premier.
  13. Non league here we come We've always had "outsiders" be they Scottish, Welsh, from Geordieland, London, etc. Right from tjhe start of the club as a professional outfit.
  14. English was misprint. Should have read Cheshire.
  15. Football has been a game that tests skill, teamwork and character in all conditions. It's a game of skill but is also a physical one. It brings them together. Great matches have been played in foul conditions. Great players have been those that excelled in cold and sleet, just as great players have excelled on billiard table surfaces. A winter break may have some plus points but I can't help but feel that it would take away some of the real attributes of the game. Our climate is not the same as Scandinavia or Russia. The number of postponement we had last season in the exception rather than the norm. No winter break!
  16. Including...? Why don't you mention those who were released by other clubs and we signed?
  17. Dickov on holiday, players also maybe. Calm down dear.
  18. Well said. think they're put out because they weren't privy to it.
  19. Hopefully as wrong as their claim that Craig Davies was going to Reading. He's signed with Barnsley.
