    Wow! Merely wondering why it was down - and as Admin/mods are I think always on here then a line explaining would be interesting. Don't think I said it should be "up all the time". happy to grin and near outages but still interested to know why it happened.

    Shame. I like Brunton Park and thought there was room to redevelop it. Space behind both the open end and the main stand. But I guess the money's not there for just a football ground and if the new one is part of a bigger development that's where the financing , or much of it, will come from. And that's where we are - we need the money that comes with other facilities/services/buildings. And I believe the Board are doing a lot to bring this finance in. An announcement in January.

    Used to be part of Sky's Premiership coverage on a regular basis. I can remember Latics v Norwich in 93/4 (I think) which was televised and inflatable sumos battled it out at Boundary Park

    That has to be the most incorrect statement ever on here!!! Bigger than the FA cup Final, bigger than winning promotion to the Premiership etc etc....??!! And I'd have to say the rest of your logic is ...how do I say this...flawed. Distance is a major factor to how many fans travel so Sheffield for them can't be compared to Eastlands for us. And the "come down" is irrelevant. They are getting closer to the final so that's the inducement!

    They've been given an initial 600 tickets according to C'field website. I imagine they'll only be allocated the small section of the RRE.

    Other than the facts that Bradford to Sheffield is 50 miles and Oldham to Eastlands about 6, plus Sheef Utd not quite being a Man City, your analysis is spot on. Your original post compared Latics at City to Bradford at Sheff Utd - glad to see you've had second thoughts...

    There are loads of people better at managing than Pd...well it seems so judging from the insight and exopertise from some on here. We comfortably won. We scored three.they scored one.

    Should be decent crowd. bradford will bring over 2000 - took 1200 to Sheffield and they'll be up for a Semi.
