Whilst I understand what you are saying I think its pretty ambitious to expect us to find a Gregan esque style defender with the ball playing capabilities of Mellor. Especially on what budget we have left. I'm ok with the style thats set up. If our attack is as good as everyone keeps saying our defenders shouldnt have too much to do during a game ;)

2hours by car from Oldham. I'm going with a big crowd, bringing Liverpool, Northampton, Arsenal, Mansfield and Wisla Krakow fans with me on the train for a day of drinking and football, gutted the terrace isnt open though, Im not telling them though as they might pull out as Ive sold this game to them as being one of my fave away days. Its great, people who cant afford the £10 will join and will carry on playing if in the mix, you raise more than the current £10 a month proposal but also including those who cant afford it.... Realistically you only need a bed for the night, Queens Walk Guest House is near enough to the centre. I did the boat bar a couple of years back with loads of 'tics in there after the game and missed the last train home because of them dirty tequilas they were giving us. Nasty but great all the same. I think that was the day of the fans game. No idea why you would want to stay for more than 1 night though. Its not the best place to be staying in, I'd save the money for a more enticing away day and stay for 1 night.
