    I was seated in the small stand at the opposite end to most Latics fans, so had a different view to most. The ease with which Poleon went to ground was worrying from a footballing and also a sporting point of view. But Philliskirk was attempting to dive at the slightest provocation. The ref generally made the right call, but occasionally got it wrong. Well done to the ref but maybe clubs get what they deserve and the fans just end up feeling short changed?

    Evans has previously been offered employment by his girlfriends father. Which he apparently turned down. He is not being denied the chance to earn a living, rehabilitate or to re-integrate. Just not on his terms as though the rape never happened.

    The Wright Stuff on channel 5, reported Simon Corney as saying he was surprised by the backlash. If true that is really worrying ! Given all that went on at Sheffield Utd, how can our owner be so surprised? If that,s the level of what you,ve got to add to this debate then maybe it,s you who should be worried.

    Did not get to the game on Saturday but apparently Coventry made 3 substitutions during the 90 minutes. We eventually made 2 on 90 minutes after going one nil down. Any ideas on why this was? Were all the players doing so well no one deserved taking off. Were there no tired legs. Could we not have changed things tactically. Perhaps we had nobody of any worth on the bench. Maybe Simpson didn,t want to turn one of his old clubs over? Any ideas anyone.

    Just because you did,nt see it, it does not mean that it has not happened. Smith came of the bench and scored a great header in the 2 - 1 win at Scunthorpe last season.

    I attended this game with 2 mates who followed Leicester City. They were highly amused at us going out in the 1st round. Also I seem to remember that the walk back to the railway station was a bit of an ordeal in the 70,s.
