  1. I have the Redfearn picture from the chron also, adorning my dining room. 70" x 50" - wasnt cheap.
  2. Would help if somebody with old programmes could scan in the fixtures/line up pages. My first game was Crystal Palace in 82/83, team definitely included Palmer, Wylde (scorer) and Goram (penalty save).
  3. If City let him go on a standard loan and either City or Fiorentina picked up his monthly wages then its a fair cop. But City have taken a large one off payment for a loan fee, this cant just be ignored. Some are suggesting the fee is for wages, well if thats the case who is paying Falcaos new extortianate wages in addition to his loan fee.
  4. Fiorentina has basically purchased him for 4.5m on a 10 month contract, he is to all purposes no longer a city player. Loan, my arse.
  5. Would be a bit more accurate if it continued in to the non leagues as team such as Grimsby, Wrexham and Stockport must have more 'pedigree' than Burton and Morecambe. Accringtons figures are a little dodgy as the current set up is not the same club as the one that folded in the 60's.
  6. I'm already included without entering the code...
  7. The way that we lay goals on a plate for the opposition, this is the perfect kit for us....
  8. It will end up with an oversized Sports Direct logo and another organisation on the back, not what I want to be seen in on my hols.
  9. I popped in mid week and was surprised to see such scant stock. I had money to spend, but ending up spending just £2 on a old junior kit that theyve dug out from 2005/6 !! If there is a new shop in the stand surely that is months away, in the meantime they are going to attract next to zero income from merchandise. I wont be back again till a matchday.
  10. A year later we had 4 games in the final week, the rest is history....
  11. http://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/news/article/20140510-newcastle-friendly-announced-1544861.aspx Wrong season for our last Newcastle match up.
  12. Definitely Sept '90, start of the title season. I can make me out stood under the Warburtons banner, a foot taller than everyone else. :-)
  13. Donny chairman chops Dickov.... nothing worse.
  14. First and last time ive ever cried over a game of football. Half of the United fans were already in the car park. United deserved nothing that day, they were garbage. Got back after midnight that Sunday, didnt sleep at all and still in shock queueing for replay tickets first thing Monday morning.
  15. I watched this and Heysel unfold live on TV as an 11 year old within weeks of each other. Both forever ingrained into my memory. These obsolete Stadiums should have been modernised immediately, but it took another another disaster 4 years later for the penny to drop. Valley Parade not having fences was a small mercy.
  16. Those who inherited wealthy benefactors sorted their stadiums and playing staff, saw multi promotions and the fans crawled back out of the woodwork. Teams without any sugar daddy and without a pot to piss in, remain rooted to the lower echelons or now in non league and with diminishing fans who are at their wits end.
  17. Classic sequels? Porky's 2 and Weekend at Bernies 2...
  18. Far too many words for our fans to comprehend, come on oldham or owtb to repeat and fade is the best we can muster.
  19. I thought the new stand was committed to even before the 12/13 cup run, this is the equivalant of paying back a loan shark - carries on forever and still end up owing as much as when you started.
  20. After losing at home to Man City in January 1989 we then.... (up to losing 6-3 to United on Boxing Day 1991). Lost 0 out of 10 home games - 1988/89 Lost 1 out of 33 home games - 1989/90 Lost 1 out of 25 home games - 1990/91 Lost 1 out of first 12 homes games - 1991/92 (on grass) So thats 3 defeats in 80 home games.
