I suspect the payment of 300k was it to hmrc ? Would partly of been funded by today's income, never mind the cash we owe to dale and who ever else. Ive not done many games this season but I was all ready just about to set off when the need broke.

Nothing will happen until it's too late. Everyone has there own opinion and it's fair enough but we had a shambles of a summer and we have set up to fail this season. It's not the managers fault at all it's the owner. As has been said above some people are firmly in the "we are lucky to have a club to support" camp. I feel that even a relegation wouldn't spark mass protest and we will hear "been punching above our weight too long" spouted about. Yes the group in the summer could of been handled a bit better, we did have a meeting with corney set up myself and someone else went down and he was a no show. I took loads of abuse and threats and tbh Ive reached can't be arsed stage with latics, and it hurts I won't lie. Ive done 3 games this season and worked for Bolton and dale away and it didn't bother me in the slightest, there is a protest going on now a silent protest I'll be surprised if I make it to double figures in games this year. I still check here, twitter and results but am more meh about it now. Ive said am going to attend a game at the end of November at home but can't even remember who we are playing and I might go to Lincoln but neither are set in stone.

Whilst I dont agree with palmer1 on the majority of things, he's hit the nail on the head earlier on in the thread, lots of latics fans have a lot to say but lack the bollocks to do anything about it. It's easy to moan on her and on Twitter etc. I'll hold my hands up the protest group could and should of been organised better Ive never done anything like that but I was damm sure I wasn't going to be one of these who moan and do :censored: all about it. In my defence I said from day one if any one wanted to take over and run it better they could, and guess what not a soul stepped forward. As a result I :censored:ed it off and so far this season Ive done 3 games, am just losing interest and tbh it's not just the way the clubs run that :censored:s me off it's some of our pathetic fans. We don't have to agree but I had death threats this summer and some of the vile insults I see over the Internet is a disgrace.

I had this issue last season. Lad used to go to the match day club which is very good value £5 pound in they go in family stand with kids of similar ages and get to play on the apple Mac's etc whilst supervised and you collect your child after the game. One game he wanted to come and slum it with his dad and sit near the singing, sitting in the same stand just not in the family stand cost me £10 I found it a bit daft. Although I do see why the club are doing it, it feels like your forced to go in there to get the £5 entry, it should be the same all over the ground, keep the family stand open and let it be a success or failure by the fans don't try and force people in to it to make it a success.

Went tonight expecting a defeat after the reports from Saturday. I was pleasantly surprised with the performance and hope that this acts as a spring board for Saturday. Lee croft was brilliant tonight and his clever back heal led to the second goal. Enjoyed the game we looked decent think burgess will benefit massively from having Clarke next to him. I've been a big critic in the past and still have my doubts regarding corney and co but we looked decent tonight long may it continue.

Just have a look at the squad. Would you disagree full back and up top are our weakest positions? If not where would you say is?

I know it might be difficult for you to understand but the thread is titled 2016/17 season predictions and its my prediction that if those positions are not sorted we will struggle. Looking at the squad that's where I feel we are at our weakest. You'll have to point out where I have related that to pre season results because I must of missed it?

I really want the manager to succed with us. However if we are not going to address the full back positions get a creative midfielder in and a striker who knows where the onion bag is it's going to be a struggle. We should take nothing from pre season results they really are irrelevant. For me the squad and manager get a free pass for the first month of the season at least due to being a totally new team but they are all professionals and come mid September id expect to be able to judge what the season has in store for us. Haha I would imagine not. Truth be told I've stepped away from leading this now as I've got stuff going on away from Latics that is much more important to me, it's unfair of me to lead something that I cannot put the effort in that is needed. Let's be honest though if the club had not been so badly run the last few years especially the last 2 years there would of been no group formed. Maybe now I've steeped aside someone will step up and take it to a better level and be able to communicate and reach out to fans that I couldnt. I will still be supporting the group and I will still be supporting the team although both are highly likely to be from a distance at this moment in time.
