This is what I hate about Latics fans, half think we are the same as Chelsea and anything below us is Sunday league! Football is about systems, tactics and some players no matter how good at one club don't fit a system elsewhere. DP didn't fit the sheff utd system but he suits ours. The lad who made the comment about only getting on at oldham because of his dad. DP had one of the best scoring records at youth football in the country hence why Chelsea paid 250k for him and he was there 4 years!!

My sister and her fella own a fancy dress shop on Rochdale rd in Royton. Around Halloween LJ pitches up in the shop and has a chat with the brother in law (city fan) who had no idea who he was... BinL says you dont sound local and they get into a chat about LJ being the manager of Oldham and they get into a full blown coversation for 40 minutes about the club, the town and how he is trying to really get the town behind the team.... He was on the phone to me saying when are you back from Libya I want to go and watch Latics.........remember he is a City fan..... LJ has something, from the day i met him on his 2nd day I have been nothing other than impressed, 1 thing to bear in mind, our team is full of kids and they are very difficult personalities you could see that at the charity poker tourament that they all attended, but he is doing an unbelievable job not only has a football manager of the club but producing a buzz in the public. Im thinking playoffs after a big december and SC backing him in the transfer market in jan,......

I dont get all this if it isnt broke dont fix it...........We dont all know the facts with players, injuries and possible sales...... what if the club has had an offer for Korey Smith and we dont know it.........? We have lost Monty for 8 weeks, Mills has gone, The latvian is out till Feb/march, Millar is out and we have a minimum of 8 games before the window reopens. I have listen to most games this season on Latics Player due to working overseas and to say the quality of commentary is poor is an understatement.... I was looking forward to yesterdays game to see how Mike from the MEN performed and he was excellent and showed Roy up. He made it funny not to biased and overall a good experience and the only downside was when Roy opened up!! The guy is clueless! Can Mike become a permanent addition to the Latics Player Team????

My personal opinion is that the council let him use Clayton Playing fields to the club to use and with some school sites that are available for development to create a sports complex to replace Clayton, could include, football pitches, rugby pitches, sports centre, astro etc Then OAFC would get a huge site with excellent transport links WIN WIN WIN Council looks good giving the community something which MK would pay for as part of his land aquasition of clayton (money going to build the replacement for clayton), Corney and chums could keep some of the existing site to build their houses and get some cash back and Koukash gets to build his new stadium everyones a winner!

The Breeze Hill site was by far the biggest, if you go on the link that someone posted it lists all the development sites, Breeze Hill is the biggest apart from Foxdenton Park which is huge!

I flew to London on Tuesday and had the company of him sat next to me. Pretty good chat about the old times at OAFC, Palace and Newcastle. Said OAFC was his most enjoyable time in Football, did like Palace but Simon Jordan was hard work. Good luck to him. gave a very good opinion on LJ and SC

How about breeze hill school gets turned into a replacement for Clayton playing fields and we build a new stadium there.

How can you say less interested in new ownership when the existing owner wants out! I would rather have someone with a bit of ambition rather than a chairman who wants to :censored: off

I really dont understand peoples negativity to his idea of a new stadium. We all believe that SC looked at all the option, how about they went for the cheapest option and it failed and then they didnt want to go again....? What about the council not wanting to bend over backwards for SC but they might for someone new? Does anyone know the actual size required??? The site that Breeze hill school is on is 12.6H....How many hectors is BP

would be surprised if the car park, stadium and mini wembley wasnt a big enough site. Not to bothered with the car parking, many clubs dont have a huge car park like us
