    incorrect, they didn't pay a loan fee, it was backdated if they kept him. Barry was also out of contract

    Gareth Barry had a £2m clause in his loan agreement to Everton that if they signed him after his loan they had to stump up the cash. Lets hope if they do loan him they have the same clause. One thing to think about city will want some return on their investment into him. With financial FairPlay they can't afford to chuck £5m away.

    hahahahaha! I was stunned, for me that was the huge difference between Oxley and PR last season, PR relieved pressure by taking crosses. PR had a very bad spell at Leeds where he dropped 4 or 5 crosses in the first half and the oppo scored 3, he was subbed off in the game, hope that form hasn't return. Any strong defence have to have a strong keeper!!

    This would be very good. PR was poor on Tues flapping at every cross. Don't believe he laid a single hand on any of boros crosses

    Our Manager has offered Connor Brown 2 new contracts, if not 3. Seem to remember offering him a new deal and then offering him another because he felt his contract was to low and then offered him another in the summer!!

    I missed Saturdays game but after last nights performance I don't understand how Brian Wilson is ahead of Conner Brown. I don't care about where he has played and for how long, we are a selling club, Connor Brown is an asset and has future sale potential and more importantly was part of a 10 game unbeaten run at which time our defence was rock solid. BW has no resale value, lacks pace and an attacking instinct. For me Mills and Brown offer so much more and gives us true balance.

    But I agree the whole thing is a pipe dream, lets have a team that competes for a playoff spot in L1 first, even under shez and dowie we were no were near 8k unless a big team came to town.

    If we gave him a 2 year deal he would then be over 24 when out of contract and if he left we would be entitled to nothing. Offering him the 1 year means we at least are due something. My personal opinion is this is a false economy, I would have rather offered him a 3 year deal and if he progresses as he is doing then he is worth a lot more.

    Can anyone tell me what has gone on with this lad? He moves to Leicester on loan, contract has now expired and he is under 24 Did we Offer him a new contract to enable oafc to get compensation? Or are we happy for him to leave on a free to "possibly" a club in the premier league. Don't understand why nothing has ever been mentioned to why we let him go. Answers please
