  1. I love Shez and missed the interview but this post sums it up. Placide on first impressions isn't a bad signing that turned up?! Had Shez played him sooner rather than cocking around with the other two GKs then perhaps he would still be here? Credit due that he made reference to the keeper situation in said interview. Other downfall was his stubbornness of playing Gerrard and Clarke. Richie spotted it immediately, changed it and we've been more on the front foot playing attacking football, scoring goals and winning. Every cloud and all that....just hope that they don't fuck it up by appointing Scholes and pushing Wellens out into the cold screwing up all the good work thus far.
  2. It could work if Wellens remained as Head Coach as UK based players would love to be coached by Scholes. However could you see him bollocking players? Call them a knob under his breath (great video that) but bollocking?! Nah. I reckon it's nothing more than a meal with yet another famous footballing name who will come out in press tomorrow that he was not interviewed.
  3. Cheers. I could go on... David Eyres. Not only a hero but a legend in my eyes. edit - and I loved that shirt!
  4. I can't post pics but there's a few from that dark period - Allott, Rickers, Holt, McNiven. Admittedly lower ability than other players we've had prior and since but in that period each played well for us. Heading the pack - Duxbury
  5. Why? Great player but what makes him a better manager than Wellens? If Lemsagam is present at this "interview" then it's nothing more than a wankfest between him and Corney regarding who can link our club to great ex-players. Let's press the flesh on the whim of "selling" the club eh?! Grow some balls the pair of you; appoint Wellens on a one-year contract and back him - IF the money is there - in January. Have the option, in clubs favour, to extend if Wellens does well. If Scholes is serious then use him as an ambassador; supporting Wellens in coaching, opening the door for us signing players, promoting our club off the field. Dont get your hopes up thinking Scholes being interviewed means mega money flooding into the club. If there was money then our local and national journos would have identified by now if there's a story there.
  6. It's black and white for me. Paying employees late - frequently or not - is unacceptable and a breach of contract. Incompetence of the hierarchy within the boardroom at the highest level. I wouldn't blame the players if they downed tools come Saturday or walked out the club. Appreciate investment or takeovers take a while but this latest episode wouldn't instil much confidence in those looking to invest. The longer this drags on the more I'm dubious money is there.
  7. Went from 30-something to 40-something. Got this year's blue home kit and toyed with getting the tangerine one. Love wearing our colours when playing footy or sometimes in the gym. Makes a change of all the Villa, Blues and Wolves wankers
  8. Love the tangerine kit - I'm too old to wear one these days but love it. Had the last orange kit - FILA / Cabrini (2012) - and loved that one. However home kit is blue & white
  9. I'm a Luddite when it comes to this. So... I need a decent, reliable VPN that doesn't cost the earth and presumably just pay €130 via a Non-UK address? How does the VPN work as I have a sky router at home? Can I also pay with a UK credit card with a UK billing address if using a non-UK address to register? Sorry for questions but I'd happily attend in person if I lived more local but happily pay the €130 to watch online. In fact I'd happily pay that and pay difference upto a ST to our player scheme.
  10. On the Channel 5 programme. He looks pissed off when asked about Seedorf and said it's up to the owners and he did say 'and Simon Corney'. I didn't read too much into that though. Murray reaffirmed that Seedorf was a friend of owners and has no interest in the job.
  11. It's in the hands of Corney and/or Lemsagam regarding the future of this season. Should RW secure another win or two then do they disregard a current employee who's delivered unity and consistency amongst the ranks and risk it all with an outside appointment? Off the back of these two games, RW has identified weaknesses, made changes and fielded a team that's played the best passing football this season, last season and perhaps the season before. We've two wins in two games and look like scoring. Defence is still leaking but if we maintain a decent run then come January and some wheeling and dealing, we can achieve anything. Its crucial we retain Doyle, Byrne and Bryan. That's what Lemsagam needs to do - number 1 objective. Second is allow RW to strengthen the defence. Why blow money on an outside appointment when those funds can be spent on the pitch? Forget the interviews, the best interview is what RW is achieving thus far.
  12. He's sold it to me. Give him the gig, allow him to keep those players past January. Allow him to tinker with Lemsagam's support and finances; lets build for that future. Sounds very focussed. Good man!
  13. At the moment I don't give a stuff about a new manager. Securing Doyle, Byrne and Bryan for the rest of this season and ideally beyond is crucial. Doyle, whilst not leading scorer at this moment, he's the most prolific in league one with one goal every 90 minutes. Lemsagam's first job is to switch his loan to a permanent - same with Byrne. Both unwanted and the extra few grand a week on each will be worthwhile when we reflect come May.
  14. But didn't Mike Keegan confirm that he was interviewed for the position. Surely Mike would have checked with club sources before confirming this?!
  15. Do you honestly think Seedorf applied for the role? It's more likely that he was primed by Lemsagam in line with his takeover of the club. 10 days is probably how long the takeover is expected to take. Heard nothing on the F&P test by the EFL but with the influx of players and Seedorf arriving, my opinion is that it's still on and happening shortly. Lemsagam is too involved with the club now for the takeover not to happen. That managerial decision in 10 days may include Correra in some capacity but I can't imagine bringing Seedorf in for an "interview" without looking to secure his services. Admittedly Seedorf isn't that experienced as a manager but it'll be a massive insult to an ex-player of his stature not to be given the job. Also the gym isn't massively populated but would you seriously walk Seedorf around in front of the public when looking for a new manager?
  16. Just having Seedorf in the changing room before matches would inspire the players immensely. This bloke has done it all in world football, got the t-shirt plus the odd trophy along the way. Its obviously that Lemsagam has achieved this so if Seedorf signing hinges on investment then surely, due diligence aside, this is almost a done deal?! The investment must be near secure too - I can't imagine Lemsagam sticking around for so long, attending matches and bringing Seedorf in for manager talks if he wasn't confident of taking over. This latest development makes me think the investment is more than just a few quid bunged in by an agent. Hopefully it all becomes clear once the deal is signed.
  17. This could work if Seedorf is manager/DofF and Wellens head coach. Seedorf raises profile of the club, uses his contacts to secure decent players and is present to inspire the team each and every match day. Wellens on the training field alongside Seedorf and conducts majority of training. Wellens will gain immense knowledge from Seedorf boosting his development to become our main manager in a season or two. Mourinho and Ferguson are/were both motivators leaving the training, coaching and fitness to their team. Leading up to each matchday and on matchdays this is where both earned their wages by inspiring, motivating and pushing mind over ability. Obviously Seedorf isn't long-term and only a season if that but he'll be here to bridge the investment, new owners and, hopefully, we retain Wellens as I think we've a good un in young Richie.
  18. One game and all that but the three players that Lemsagam has helped us sign haven't looked too bad playing league football. Acclimatisation to the physicality and pace of the game but some neat touches from all three. We'll never know but if Shez was reluctant to play them citing fitness but reality was more likely stubbornness as they weren't his signings then Monday may be a blessing in disguise
  19. This is the most frustrating thing. We have a decent side when attacking but just need to sort that defence. Once that happens then we'll climb the league table. Do we have the personnel? January can't come quick enough for me as long as we manage to keep Doyle and Byrne. That must be Lemsagam's first objective as new owner. Secure them two, bring in a decent centre half, send back the two loan keepers and bring in another decent keeper to support Placide. Early days but happy for Wellens securing a win on his managerial debut.
  20. First thing Lemsagam needs to do is sign Doyle and Byrne until end of this season preferably with view to a transfer on both.
  21. Why didn't Wagg ask Moisley if it's investment or an actual takeover? At least then we'd get an indication if the new owners are pumping in a few grand for running costs in return for their players joining or a full-blown buy-out top to bottom. I'm uncertain if Lemsagam has the cash or representing someone who has but he's flying back for tonight's game. The club desperately needs serious cash injection into the team and not just loan players or gambling on triallists
  22. Dowie very interested and has already spoken to Corney once Shez decided yesterday that he wanted to step down. Dowie looking longer than just this season though but that can't be guaranteed by Corney, which suggests new regime in soon and making decisions. Depends how quickly this investment takes to be rubber-stamped I guess but appears to be a divide in whether we remain with a manager who knows the league or one from overseas known to Lemsagam.
  23. Stuff the rubber stamp. Corney hasn't funded Byrne, Doyle and Bryan without help. If this takeover has influenced how the players play and how the manager manages then the lot of them need sacking. It's none of their business - they're being paid regardless of what happens. No excuse.
  24. If he's gone it's a shame. Before 01/09/17 we should have brought in another centre half or two rather than 4 left wingers. Yes we need to create goals but playing Gerrard and Clarke together is suicide. I'ts one season too much for at least one of those two. Experience you need but mobility and pace is even more important
  25. Thing is I'd happily pay the price of the ST in return for UK-based live steaming of matches. Due to location and work commitments I'm now struggling to see my beloved team live. I can't understand why live streaming is only allowed outside the UK. Appreciate it would hit attendances if fans could watch from their armchair but if subscription was the same as a ST then those locally would likely attend in person. If I can't watch unless via a VPN then as long as I'm paying my subscription then surely I should be allowed?! Missed opportunity for ifollow and L1 clubs
