  1. LOL - F**king great and from a German Club I thought the Germans had no sense of humor.
  2. Fair Point I accept that - maybe breaking into the side is too much - but thought he may have appear in a senior game maybe as a sub. against a lesser team in a cup maybe after spending 6 years there - also guess a bit of disappointment on my side also as I guess I was expecting a bit more as our first signing of the season.
  3. With us signing a new 20 year old player and re - signing a 21 year old keeper - anyone have any idea what roughly is the average age of the Squad / Team at the moment. Bet on us starting (at the moment) in 2012 with the youngest team in the League both in Total and average. You will need win anything with Kids - wasn't that Alan Hansen?
  4. Looking at the players released by Sheff. Utd - never heard of him and would not have been top of my list out of them. Will wait and see on this one - but a bit concerned about him not being good enough to break into the Sheff Utd first team if it was a PL or Top Championship team that he was unable to break in to then Ok but a League 1 team (even if they are a lot bigger) now that does worry me a bit - hopefully footballer wise he will be a hidden gem will keep the fingers crossed. Hopefully signing younger player will save the wages bill to be spent on a few top class League one players - do not need all young kids no matter how much potential they have need some experienced heads with leadership talent. As for other things re. Tweets the bloke seems a bit of a muppet.too me - question his judgement but like I said he is only a kid.
  5. I don't really care football wise - however from a Financial point of view (away fans) not Sheff. Utd or Huddersfield. I basically agreed with Stevie_J
  6. No real surprises here - looking at player that ave been released by other teams there are looks of decent player out there so if the ones that have been offered contact don't want to sign in 10 - 14 days again they are decent replacment and I trust PD to sell this club and his vision of his future of the club to any one of them - reckon he would be a decent second hand car salesman. So people moaning about transfer policies etc. - shut it - let's believe in PD and let him get on with it.
  7. Basically if they are not 100% behind this club and can't be arsed to show the passion that everyone here shows for this club they can go - some times the grass is not always greener on the other side.
  8. Run through a Brick Wall for the Club - surely that is always the first thing that we should be looking at (stating the bleeding obivious PD) - I for one have always pefer 110% people than 5 minutes of skill. Look to more players like Wes please for me. As for 2 weeks - also fine by me plenty of players out of contract at season's end not that many spot in league teams up for grabs - suggest signing people up for 12 months with extra 12 months triggered by club if any good - then we can take the best at season end. More should be on basic wages - but then incentives for scoring goals / man of the match may improve effort. Most Important as my post at the start of last season few more Leader on the pitch when Wes and Dean were out I was concerned.
  9. I would like Matt Smith to be given more chance - think next season how about using him and a.n.other from the start and if Sheif stays using him as an impact player last thirty minutes too give him is all as he is getting on.
  10. Sorry for your loss - sums it all up really (I had begun to lose the faith recently but puts it all in a simple message why we should carry on supporting the club - Thanks). RIP
  11. Basically just go for it win or bust (lets be positive, if we have the ball in there end there can not score!!) - run until we drop and hope we get a bit of luck - but should never have got into such a postion to have this conversation in the first place should have been Ok ages ago. Not a religious person but if praying to god for the right result works then I'm in
  12. I Reckon judging by the last two season when the first half has been Ok ish and then the second from January onwards has been a complete f**king diaster then how about a new team for the first half of the season then replace them with a completely new team for the second half. Complete new signings in both windows will add bit of interest and variety and due to the second half of the season we some times seem to play as a bunch of strangers it can't be worse (win win situation). Or is that too strong and I have to be a bit more postive - if so I refer back to my posting at the start of the season there must be more leaders in the club we have injuries and the kids give it the best they can but struggle without a leader on the field. Or maybe I am just completely mad - then I must be the best person for a job in football management I think :-))
  13. Forget the breaking news thing (let's face it got the rest of us to carry on looking) - fair play to the chairman and the club for this great offer and if it bring new / future fan through the door all the better especially when there are so many games in a short time and money is tight - credit too the club that is why we all post here.
  14. I would like both but if I had to choose:- 1) Wembly 2) Anfield Went to Anfield to watch England in a build up match for World Cup (Owen was playing that how long ago it was) area is a :censored: hole and if you are above 5ft 7ins watch it as your knee will hurt as they will push against the seat in front - my mate is 6ft plus and had to swap with me for a end seat so he could watch the match with no pain. Prem. League and decent grounds - my arse.
  15. remember it well and with fondness some great days. Was it that long ago - Sh*t I have got old.
  16. All I want is 11 players that will give their heart and soul for the Shirt / Club / Fans - after that what happens will happen but at least I will sleep alot better.
  17. I think that is called stating the bleeding obvious
  18. Warren its very simple - if Plymouth ticks all the boxes for you - come back terminate your contract with us at no cost to any one and p*ss off - not rocket science is it son.
  19. My mate at work is a big Stoke Fan (he is at the Stoke match tonight v Hajduk Split) - but he says that they highly rate him and like everyone says 3 months and if he us not to good send him back.
  20. Just a great idea especailly for smaller club like ours - spend money on what you want and need and help the club out - top marks to the guy that invented this.
  21. Give him a chance - why not? - what have we to lose unless we can offload him. I have to say fair play to the guy lost two stones and has come bad fitter than ever (down the gym most days) - shows he has made a effort to do domething this sason and may put in more effort this season as last year of the contact (I think) However the question that remains is why was he two stones heavier last season was he not bothered (just take the money) - that probably speaks volumes to me. I know he had injuries and during that time weight can be gain but his job is a footballer - so he should at all time be at his fitness peak or put the work in to get to it.
  22. Hi, looking forward to next season and looking at comments that PD has said about giving youth a chance. I say that is all good - lower wages, pick up a gem that we can sell on for lots of cash etc. However the one key thing I think is missing from BP is a leader of the team - think (Tony Adams) - to shout and organise and get people moving when time and things are going bad i.e. second part of the last season. The reason I mentioned Tony Adams is that I have a mate at work and he is a Arsenal fan and he says that they play great football but they can't win anything due to the fact that they have no leaders on the pitch - he's reckon's if they had players / leaders like Tony Adams, Viera, Winterburn etc. they would get back to winning trophies. Now I may be talking complete rubbish but that is what I think is missing does anyone agree and have any views on this?
  23. Hi, How about using some of the money as a signing on fee for Wellens to get him to sign up (up to 50k) and then use the rest to see if we can get a championship striker to join us my choice would be:- 1) Wayne Andrews (Coventry). 2) Peter Thorne (Norwich) - must be well down the list at Norwich as they are try to sign Sharp. Eastwood and Cureton. 3) Dion Dublin (Norwich) - worth a gamble for a year (see above). Then we get the best of both world's our best midfielder signs up and a decent striker. Stoney
