    Yes a crap Northampton team that beat Walsall 2-1 today. Problem today was Byrne was playing too far back and not linking up high enough up the pitch. Therefore most things broke down too soon.

    Yes I am sure . Wellens usually gives two interviews on the next match. In his second interview he said that we might sign the Irish lad . However he thought that the 3 loan players would not play at Shrewsbury. Of course this could be mind games again. He’s a crafty bugger.

    According to Wellens on his last interview today he said that the 3 loan players will not play at Shrewsbury. Looks like they will have gone back to their parent clubs.

    I think you will be very surprised as to how fit this guy is. 6ft tall, two footed but prefers left side of field. Can beat a man going forward with speed similar to Byrne in that respect, however he is a set piece expert and can bend a ball like Beckham. I would love to have this guy and Byrne playing for us.

    Shez didn’t play Placide because he didn’t rate him. So in my eyes although he could pick up some good players his judgement was not right all the time. Shez has his favourites.

    I know I am going to be unpopular when I say this but I think you are all deluded. I think we have a better goalkeeper now than Ripley. Ripley did a good job for us last season however every time he has played for Burton he’s shipped goals and sitting on a bench for half a season means that he’s not up to spead. His shot stopping was great last season but his distribution was very bad. Give me JP any day.

    Agreed that path up that slope on a day like today is bloody leathal. Last I heard was a Hotel was going in that corner of the ground. If so maybe it will have a lift to go up to different levels. Hehe

    He was there today and came into Boundry Club to talk to people after the game. Didn’t see the prospective buyer.

    Pitch looks in good condition. No snow in it. Let’s hope it doesn’t snow before the game. M62around Leeds and Bradford a nightmare. Traffic jams due to accidents in both directions. Managed to get to Oldham for my turkey dinner. Yummy hehe

    Just been told by the club not to travel until after pitch inspection at 11.30am. Not looking good.

    Anybody know if the match is on or off please? I have to travel over 100 miles to get to the game. Has there been snow in Oldham overnight?

    Could be down to Ashley and his Sports Direct.com involvement. Might be something to do with his sponsorship deal. Let’s face it the Sport Direct shop is only open on match days and I think I read somewhere that he’s had a barney with Corney.

    Agreed but he redeemed himself against Newcastle and had a very good game. I would rather give him a chance again than put Green on from the start. If it’s not working you could always bring Green on or Manouch who can certainly pick out a good pass.
