  1. Angst ridden torment. . ? I care about the club, but you’ll be happy to know they rank very low on the important things in life. I came on a latics forum to discuss and gauge how others feel. That’s it.
  2. That’s contradictory though. Say you had 5 million, and you thought the entire spend for the club would be 3 Million. You spend a further 500k ‘having a go’ whilst doing that you find a black hole of further debt of another 1.5 million. Surely you would manage that the best you could rather than thinking I’ll blow the rest of my budget so the club is ok for a future owner but I’m screwed personally. It’s human nature to look after number one first. Also, who would you pay first- the old pie contract- or the players? If the players aren’t getting paid, I think it’s fair to assume he hasn’t cleared all outstanding debt.
  3. Mmmm. What bloke would have a go for a few months, realise he’s skint himself. Then think with what I’ve got left i’ll clear the debt for any new owner coming in. It’s a stretch.
  4. Just when you think we’ve turned a corner. . . We haven’t. How many corners can we appear to turn before we reach a dead end? Like all you I’m desperate for us to do prosper, but I’ve got a real horrible feeling about the short to medium future. Where are going. . orient/tranmere stockport or worse. . I think its genuinley scary to think of what the club will look like going forward. ?
  5. Oh ffs. I’m so past anger. It just sadddened me these days.
  6. Now we know why Baxter isn’t starting. . We can’t afford his appearance fee. If this is true, he must literally have no means to own a football club. Sigh. The nightmare continues.
  7. That’s just not true. COG and Lang. Miller and Lang. COG and Benteke Miller and Benteke. Lang and Benteke. COG with Baxter off him Miller with Baxter off Him. They might not be perfect combinations, but Bunn isn’t playing the best we’ve got. The only obvious one you defintley wouldn’t play- is the one he used in the last game. . ??
  8. It’s baffling isn’t it? Sometimes you look at a managers choice, an although you might not agree you can see the logic. Bunn obviously knows his football, but i can’t for the life me figure out how he came to decide that they are the pairing when Surridge isn’t fit.
  9. I’d rather play with a false 9 and 10 than watch COG n Millar up front.
  10. Or play him in one game. And leave him out of the next squad to rest. Instead of picking him every week to travel and sit on a bench.
  11. Repetitive Numpties. . . Why? Because we want to see our best player and do well!? Our manager has made no mention of a hip injury. He’s in every match day squad. The hip looked good at Grimsby. . . If you do know what’s going on, as your post suggests. Was it not in your vocalbury to say ‘just to let you know he’s got an ongoing injury, and we’re having to nurse him’ Whoever you are. (Barry?) What a sanctimonious post. An just so you know- sanctimonious means you think your morally superior to everybody else. Can you read this ok? Or I am being repetitive?
  12. Mmmm. Said the same last night. Must not concede.
  13. Bunn is turning into Robinson. Absoluley do not concede. Then try an nick something- I don’t mind that in away games to be fair. You can’t knock our away record. Very different at home though! If Surridge is out on Saturday- Bunn’s team selection will be very interesting. Where is our threat?? Oh. . and before I forget. GET BAXTER GET IN THE F**KING SIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ?
  14. He was just an awful signing. I said it at the time. He was way way past that old pro who you think might have one good spell left in him. He hasn’t. Immobile. Unfit. No first touch.
  15. It’s a good point. Maybe there is a mild stand off between what Bunn wants, and what Baxter feels he can offer. I think it’s telling that Bunn didn’t sign him. Managers aren’t generally great with having players signed without there say. Particularly if said player doesn’t suit how the manger wants to play. FWIW I wouldn’t be asking Baxter to adapt. He then just becomes another grafter, plus we’ve got players who can do his running. I also wouldn’t want to play him in away games. The way Bunn sets us up is ideal for playing away. Hence our results. At home though when teams sit against us, I think he’s absolulety crucial to keeping the ball, and being our creator.
  16. There is difference between asking someone to play a cameo for 10 minutes, and trusting them to start a game. Our team is full hard working honest grafters- and Surridge. The only maverick we have, gets 10/15 minutes if that. I genuinely thought he was wrapping him in cotton at first, and easing him in. However it’s October now, an that notion is well past it’s sell by date. He doesn’t trust him to start IMO.
  17. Have to agree. I still think Bunn’s ‘workmanlike, hard to beat’ is ok for now. However with every passing week Baxter’s non inclusion is beyond the pale. Frank- if there is a reason our best player ny a mile can’t get in the side tell us. I’ll back you. But please. Please. Stop saying he can’t play at least an hour of football.
  18. From what I’ve seen his ‘clapped out 38 year old legs’ have still run the show whenever he has come on. They didn’t look clapped out when he scored his late header at Grimsby. I see you went past my point that he’s in every squad- if he ‘finishes last in every training drill’ then why put him in the squad? Sounds like your saying he’s not puttting it in- would that last under this regime? You make it sound like he’s shot at 26. With no way to regain his fitness. Well if that’s the case we might as release him then. . I refuse to believe that after four months at the club, without injury and being named in every squad he can’t play 60 minutes at least. UNLESS- He is reasonably fit, but Bunn can’t him fit him into his style of play. Which is extremely depressing.
  19. Because. A. He’s Bunn type- honest grafter. B. It’s obvious Bunn wants a target man- and he’s the best we’ve got in that role. You make not like it, but that’s why he plays every week.
  20. I would like to know from Bunn why he can’t get in the side. I think Bunn has made a very solid start, but the non inclusion of Baxter is becoming a big worry. Using his fitness is wearing very thin now. Even I could of got fit in four months. If he’s on the bench, surely he’s fit to play??? He’s made every squad for weeks now, but hardly features. When he does play- he runs the show. So why not play him??? It can only be tactical. ?
  21. FWIW. I don’t know a lot, but I do know this. Everybody is doing their best with what they’ve got. Aniexty is focusing on what you don’t want to happen. Your body doesn’t know the difference between what you create in your head and what is happening in the now. An thus one feels anxious or panicky. Your body reacts to what your mind creates. Try your best to stay in the moment. It’s often quite an ok place. We’re all in good shape, when our heads can have a rest for a bit. Whatever floats your boat to empty your mind, even for 20 minutes a day- do it. Then we can get back to the important stuff. . WHEN WILL BAXTER START? ?
