  1. It’s nearly half 2. Tempted to go all shuck on Bunn. . But I won’t. What I will say is, that was a big, big, win today. For him and the club. A few mentioned the upturn since Rhodes left- maybe’s it’s just coincidence. Maybe AL saw something he didn’t like- Who knows. The up shot is we’re 6 unbeaten, on a nice little run, with a bit more positive football. Who knows where it might take us. . Probably 12th. Night.
  2. Good effort. Will you have a think about paying somebody 4K a week to be invisible for 15 months? I’ll say it again slowly for you monty, not one player has been signed on the level of money he’s on, and suddenly started catching 15 months after signing. He’s not a punt, he’s a not youth team player. He’s on star player money. . Yet has only just started catching. I hope the lad does well, but a few cameo’s aren’t enough to justify this new found belief that we’ve suddenly found a player. Let’s see how he does over 6/7 games for 90 minutes. My instinct is he’s a bit of flair player who fade out of games, and struggle for consistency.
  3. Lads, what are you talking about??? All of those we’re first team regulars, trusted by the incumbent manager!! None of those suddenly appeared in the first team 15 months after joining! None of those had 3 different managers who didn’t fancy them. There isn’t one example of first team player being bought, (on a speculated 4K a week) who’s taken 15 months and 3 different managers to show he can play a bit. Not one. You could even argue it takes time to settle, ok what about moimbe, Gevaro, Missilou. Wether you rate those players is a moot point. The point is they came in, and we’re deemed good enough to play. You’ve all had a mare there.
  4. I’m still to be convinced on Maouche. He can play a bit - but it’s still a concern he’s never been given a run. If he was that good, we would of seen him play a lot more. How many times do you discover a gem 15 months after they joined the club?
  5. IF he can stay fit- he’s an upgrade on Gardner IMO.
  6. How many ‘clubs’ and ‘lads’ are we up to now?
  7. What’s the general consensus? Keep or dump? Pro’s Despite popular opinion, we score goals. We’ve shown character in a number of games. It feels like we’re slowly improving. Cons. The football can be dull. His tactics can be questioned. For me, he’s doing ok. You can’t escape the fact that the squad is poor overall- so what can we expect? Plus he’s a rookie manager. (I know he’s coached but it’s a different ball game managing- ask Brian kid) I think when everyone is fit, we are probably just under where we should be but not to the point where I think his Job is under threat. Saturday is massive for him as manager. Win- and we’ve more money coming in, and possibly one or two more additions in Jan. Lose- and it’s mid table for the rest of the season. Either way- as long as we finish mid table/top half I’d be happy to give him another crack next year. He genuinely looks like he’s learning.
  8. To be fair- He did have COG to contend with- hardly known for his electric pace.
  9. Your implying it’s normal or it’s justified. Hence it’s not difficult. I would argue its the opposite and not easy to understand. Its completly unnecessary and unprofessional. It’s a private matter. He sounds very bitter. He should let his results do the talking.
  10. Nice to see us negoitate. Instead of taking anything.
  11. If he’s owed money. Fair enough. But why bring that up with a new employer? Why would the Swindon fans be interested in his contract with another club? Baffling.
  12. I don’t think he thought ‘I know, I’ll slash the wage bill, and we’ll defintley do better with inferior players’ He obviously hasn’t got the means to keep that level of expenditure up. Added to that, maybe he realised that he wasn’t getting value for money on the #frenchlads, and he was paying a lot players good money to never play. Im not advocating a lower budget, But I understand it.
  13. And all were replaced and some. Hardly saving or shedding the wage bill is it. In fact it was added to. Your talking nonsense. I accept all of the squad weren’t Wellens signings. But it’s completley baseless to argue AL didn’t substantially invest. Just look at the squad size.
  14. I’m with you Rosa. I tend to set myself up for misery. Then anything else is a bonus.
